Gizmo and Mindy – 6 and 9 year old male Shih-Tzu and female Chihuahua

Gizmo is a 6 year old Shi-tzu and Mindy is a 9 year old Chihuahua. They are looking for a home together as they are such good mates and have always lived with each other. They came to us when their owner could no longer take of them and they really can’t understand why they haven’t found anywhere new to live. They are both really sweet and friendly. Mindy loves her cuddles and would definitely be a lap dog. Gizmo is a typical lad and likes to push his luck and he is so adorable he often gets his own way! They are both such sweet dogs and they really deserves to finds a new home. They are both still fighting fit and very active, they will need a good walk every day.

Roo is a 1 year old Chihuahua cross. He is a really sweet little guy who loves people and loves having a fuss. He wants to get on your lap and be cuddled so he is looking for a home where dogs are allowed on the sofa! He is fine with other dogs but may be better not living with another male. He is a great little guy with bags and personality and plenty of licks to go round.

Buster – 1 year old male Beagle

Buster is a 1 year old male Beagle. Buster is a large Beagle with a personality to match. He is a really friendly guy who loves everyone and has lived with kids of varying ages. He is good with other dogs but has not lived with cats. He came to us when his owner moved house and could not take him with them so he is used to a home environment and has some basic training. He is a typical Beagle with a loud, deep bark and is not brilliant at recall. He would benefit from a home that is used to hounds and their ways.

Jedi – 18 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross Labrador

Jedi is an 18 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Labrador. He has a really loving, gentle and kind nature. He has come to us from a family home with young children. They had to move and were unfortunately unable to take him with them. He is housetrained and has been used to being left for short periods of time. He is a big dog with a big personality so he needs an owner able to give him all he needs.

He does have some basic training and will sit and give you his paw, he also walks nicely on the lead. He is good with other dogs and just wants to play. He cannot live with cats. Jedi will make an excellent addition to any family and really deserves a new home. It was very hard for his owners to give him up and they had given him a really good start life, having him neutered at 6 months, taking him to training classes and socialising him with people, including children and other dogs.

Tyson – 2 year old male German Shepherd Dog

Tyson is a 2 year old male German Shepherd Dog. He has been with us since November 2009 as is now getting fed up with kennel life. He is a really social dog who loves people and other dogs. Because he has spent so much time in kennels he now gets very excited when he sees another dog and desperately wants to play. He can sometimes be a little over the top which can be too much for smaller dogs. This is a fairly typical trait of the German Shepherd and with an experienced owner can easily be overcome. He cannot be housed with cats but could live another like minded German Shepherd or similar.

Tyson has lived in a home environment, he is house trained and can be left for short periods of time. He is not a noisy dog and will be quiet in the home. He has had some basic training but having been in kennels for so long he is just so pleased and excited to be out of the kennel that he sometimes forgets his manners. This is something that will settle down in a new home. Once he gets into a new routine he will soon calm down and remember how to behave. Please call us and give Tyson the new life he deserves.

Ellie and Lenny – 3-4 year old female and male Boxers

Ellie and Lenny are two 3-4 year old Boxers who came into our care in September. It was clear that they had been through a terrible time. They were both skin and bones and were absolutely starving. They also had a large amount of fur loss with some of the bare skin patches having open sores on them. The vet couldn’t find a specific skin problem and it was put down to poor living conditions. These two dogs had clearly been kept in a kennel that was never cleaned for all their lives. They had no fur along the backs of their legs and undercarriage and their feet were covered in sores where they had been constantly standing in their owner mess.

After a good number of baths, veterinary treatment, food, warmth and care from the staff they are now well on their way to recovery and we would dearly love to find a new home were they can be treated with the love and respect they deserve.

They have always been together and have lived through all these traumatic times together and it is only right that they should go onto a new home together. They have terrific characters and temperaments and still have faith in the human race. Their ordeal has not left them completely unscarred. Lenny is relatively lucky; he just has a mild heart murmur. Ellie has come off the worst. She has a scar on her eye from an untreated injury and a scar on the top of her head. She also as a heart murmur and can sometimes be a little timid. They are not currently on any treatment for these complaints.

If you can find it in your heart to offer these two dogs a home together then please get in touch.

Tyler is a 9 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Jackson is an 18 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier who came to us as their previous owner was experiencing financial difficulties. These two dogs have always been together and get on really well with each other, they snuggle up in the same bed together. We would love to find them a new home were they can stay together. tj

They are both house trained and can be left for short periods of time. They have lived with very young children and a confident cat and are very good with other dogs when being walked. They love to play and enjoy their toys. They have been crate trained are and used to being put in a crate together. They will sleep in a crate overnight or it can be used when they are left during the day. We can provide a crate.

These two dogs really are exceptional and desperately deserve a second chance at a new life.

She is very friendly and loves having a fuss made of her. She is looking for an experienced dog home. She does get on with other dogs but may prefer to be the only pet.
