Jake – 5 year old male Greyhound
Jake is a five year old black male greyhound. He’s switches betweeen being excited to see you and out of his kennel when he sees a lead to not really knowing what to do when you give him a cuddle and some love. This is quite common with ex-racing Greyhounds. Jake is a full pedigree Greyhound (this can be traced from his ear tattoos and is shown on Greyhound data http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?rt=et<=stv&sex=m&color=&birthyear=&birthland).
His racing name was Lukayva. Jake was born in Ireland in October 2006 and raced 11 times in Birmingham in 2009 but as he’s turned up in rescue kennels he is now sadly be an unwanted asset. Can you offer this gentle boy the retirement home which will enable him to gain his confidence, learn how to play and enjoy cuddles? Greyhounds make such wonderful pets given a bit of time and TLC. Jake is fine with other dogs and good on the lead.

Secret is a Whippet cross who is probably around around two years old. She’s adored by the kennel staff who advise she’s good with dogs, kids and cats. Secret is good on the lead and a gentle girl. She’s quiet for her age but that’s the beauty of Sighthounds as they have such lovely, calm temperaments.

Hunter is a young Lurcher probably only around a year old. He’s good with dogs and children. Hunter is very good on the lead and is described by the kennel staff as a “very placid boy who is very friendly”. This boy really is adorable. He has an amusing habit of plonking his bum on your knee to get as close to you as possible. Hunter was difficult to photograph as he wanted to keep going to say ‘hello’ to the photographer. A lovely lad who really will make a smashing family pet.

Flash is a small black and white male Greyhound. He’s a young boy probably around a year old who is good with other dogs. Flash gets very excited when someone comes to visit him with a tail that never stops wagging. A lovely and adorable boy who is good on the lead.

Webster is a very sweet Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy. He has the most enormous paws which give him a very endearing quality. He needs basic training.

Jet is just over a year old and a Border Collie. He’s a lovely and friendly boy who we know is good with other dogs. Jet needs to go to an adult home.
Monty – 5 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
Monty is a Jack Russell cross aged five years old with a rough Westie type coat. He’s a calm, quiet little boy who was very well behaved out of his kennel. Monty seems a little lost in kennels as if he’s wondering why he’s there. We hope we can find him a new home soon. A nice little lad.
Max – 1 year old male Labrador Cross
Max is a male black Labrador cross aged just under a year old. Max arrived as a very nervous boy but he’s very quickly settled in and you’d never know this boy had been lacking in confidence. He’s now a typical Lab cross, full of beans, loves everyone and is typical of a high energy dog. Lovely boy.
Henry – 8 year old male Labrador
Henry is an eight year old yellow Labrador who is good with dogs, cats and children. He’s a very sweet natured boy and loves a cuddle. Henry doesn’t cope with being left alone so he needs an owner who can be around all of the time or someone prepared to train him to use a crate for a bed so he can feel safe in a smaller space.
A really lovely old gentleman who we need to get out of kennels as soon as possible.

Dale is a nine year old small short legged terrier. He’s a little sweetheart, gentle and kind who is very calm. Dale has had a bit of a DIY hair cut before coming into our care so he will look much better when he’s got some growth on his coat.
A little poppet who we hope to rehome quickly. Will is good with other dogs.
