Shorty – 4-5 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Shorty is THE MOST GORGEOUS LITTLE BOY and he is very much still a puppy. He desperately needs a proper home after being wickedly discarded by his previous owners. How could someone do that to poor Shorty, I so wanted to scoop him up and bring him home with me immediately. We sat in the run with him once we had finished his photographs and oh my goodness what a lovely boy he is! He sat beautifully with us and all he wants to do is to be cuddled and held and comforted, and I must have kissed his head a thousand times, bless him! He adored it and I adored him.
Shorty will need a new family who have plenty of time and attention to give him every day, and a family who will enjoy bringing up a young pup and teaching him what it is like to live a wonderful life with people who will love and cherish him forever. Shorty didn’t ask to be abandoned, he must have been so upset and so very scared to be on his own, it’s so upsetting that I can’t actually bear to think about it any more!
As said previously, Shorty needs lots of attention and interaction every day, he will need several nice, but short, walks every day for now, which can obviously be increased as he grows older. You will need an enclosed, secure garden for gadding about in and for extra fun and games.
Shorty will need to attend a good training class, where I’m sure he will be the star pupil. He learns very quickly and he was soon walking alongside me very nicely on his lead after just a few minutes. I wanted to walk out of the enclosure with him and take him straight to my car. This boy doesn’t just want a family to care for him, he NEEDS a family more than anything.

Shorty could live with other dogs, sensible, calm children and even cats!! Shorty will need to be neutered when he is old enough (you will receive a neutering voucher towards this), he has been fully vaccinated and is microchipped. Althought at our kennels in King’s Lynn in Norfolk, Shorty can be rehomed outside of the county (within reason) subject to a successful homecheck.
If you want a loving, fun, family dog then please consider Shorty, it will be one of the best things you’ll ever do!
1Feb2012 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MORECassie – 2 year old female Bull Mastiff cross Boxer
Cassie is such a lovely girl and is so pleased to see everyone, bless her. She adores her time spent with the dog-walkers, and with the kennel staff in our enclosure, she just so wants to be with people and be loved. She’s a wriggly-wiggly girl who goes all silly when you talk to her and is just such a soft girl and very loving. She has blossomed since she arrived with us and will make a great companion for someone or a family. She is very affectionate and will need human company for at least half the day please.

Cassie really enjoys her walks and will need 2 good countryside or beach walks every day please, and will need a secure enclosed garden to play in with her new family (when the weather improves!). Cassie has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside the county subject to a successful homecheck.
Cassie seems fine with other dogs and can live with older children. She can also be cat tested if need be.
Cassie is very upset to find herself in kennels and our greatest wish for Cassie is to find her a loving, forever home as soon as possible. Poor Cassie didn’t ask to be cruelly abandoned and so deserves some happiness now. She has huge amounts of love to give, but no special person or family to share it with, it’s heartbreaking for her.
Can you make our wish for Cassie come true please?
19Jan2012 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREJim – 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Jim is a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier and he’s a lucky boy now, now that he is being cared for at our Centre, by people who love and look after him. Jim was in a very poor way when he came into our care, he already had 3 legs (we don’t know how he lost his front leg, poor boy), and he was in agony from his tail, which was raw where he had bitten through it!! Can you imagine something so terrible that would make him do that, it does not bear thinking about. He also only weighed 9 kgs (!!!), which was very shocking to see indeed. So Jim has not had a nice life, but he has survived and we intend to find him a home where he will be loved and cherished forever, and where he can put his traumatic past behind him.

Even though he only has 3 legs, Jim is an active boy and can still run with the best of them! Only having 3 legs will not stop him wanting to go out and enjoying his daily walks. He loves to chase a ball too and thoroughly enjoys his time out in the exercise run, chasing a ball. He also loves a nice bone too to keep him occupied and he recognises me now as I always take him one every week. He loves them!

Jim will need someone who is at home with him for a good part of the day as he is a very friendly boy and loves human company. He will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being rehomed and could be rehomed outside the county subject to a successful homecheck. Jim could live with teenagers upwards and perhaps a spayed female dog.

PLEASE CONSIDER JIM IF YOU CAN, if you feel passionately about rescuing a dog and changing their lives forever then Jim is your boy! If you want to give him chance to know true happiness then please get in touch with us as soon as possible, we would love to hear from you…AND SO WOULD JIM!
14Jan2012 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREBlue – 3 1/2 year old male German Shepherd Cross
Blue is around 3 and a half years old and is a very handsome and affectionate boy. He loves his time in our exercise area and loves a game of ball with someone. He also loves his time spent out with our dog walkers and will make a great walking companion for someone. He knows basic commands and does a very quick sit when a treat appears and can also give you a paw. He’s a very clever boy!
Blue does not like being in kennels, just like all our dogs, and we hope we can find Blue a new home as soon as possible. He would like a home where someone was around for at least half the day please and where he will get 2 nice walks a day in a semi-rural or rural area. He would also like a nice squashy bed to call his own please.
Blue has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside of the county, subject to a successful homecheck. Blue can live with teenagers upwards and can even live with a cat! He would however prefer to be the only dog in the household so he can have all the attention to himself.
Blue will make a lovely companion and cannot wait for his special someone to come along, please make 2012 a happy year for him!
5Jan2012 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREIrenee – 3 year old female Peruvian Inca Orchid
Irenee is a delightful little dog and was so so pleased to see me, her little tail just didn’t stop wagging. I could have stayed in her pen cuddling with her for hours, I totally fell in love with her and would definitely have whisked her home if I could. She really is absolutely beautiful and has got the sweetest little face. Her skin feels like silk and is glorious to touch! I’m afraid I didn’t get many photos of her though as I didn’t want to take her outside in the bitter wind. She is in one of our indoor kennels and has a jumper and a coat on and felt very warm to the touch, bless her. She will definitely need a home where she will be cossetted and every attention is paid to keeping her warm.
I am amazed at this little dog, I have never ever heard of her breed and I have been obsessed with dogs all my life! The Peruvian Inca Orchid is a very rare hairless breed, although you can get a coated variety, but these are very much in the minority. They are a sighthound and are lively and alert and although Irenee is the smallest size of Peruvian Inca Orchard she will not just be a lapdog. Anyone interested in Irenee will ideally have experience of a hairless breed and their requirements, or will need to have researched this breed thoroughly, not only so that you know what to expect from the breed in general, but so that you are aware of what consideration is needed due to her being hairless (ie. skin care and keeping her at a stable temperature).
Being a sighthound she is an active, lively dog who will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation every day as she likes to be busy. The Peruvian Inca Orchid is a sensitive breed and Irenee prefers to have company through the day. She is housetrained and travels well. Irenee is fine with other dogs, but does prefer all the attention to herself at home. She has lived happily with a cat and could live with older, sensible children. Irenee can be rehomed outside of the county, within reason, and subject to a successful homecheck.
I really would love to have Irenee, I can just tell what fun she would be (having a small sighthound myself) and how entertaining she would be. I tickled her back and she went all daft and silly and made me laugh, she’s just adorable. PLEASE let’s get Irenee back into a home as soon as possible, she doesn’t like the kennels one little bit of course and is devastated to have lost her home. PLEASE help Irenee if you can…….thank you.
13Dec2011 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREMinnie – 1 year old female Great Dane
Minnie is a beautiful girl and is absolutely stunning!! She is very pleased to see everyone and is playful and bouncy, just like any pup. Minnie is very friendly and loving and is getting very stressed in kennels, poor girl. She so enjoyed being out on the grass with us and stood beautifully for her photographs. I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of her as she is, without a shadow of a doubt, a magnificent dog! She really enjoys her time in our large enclosure too, where she gets chance to really stretch those long legs of hers. We have some hilarious pictures of her enjoying herself in the run, she is a real joy to watch!

Ideally we will be looking for someone with either Great Dane experience or experience of large breeds. You will need the space in your home, garden and vehicle to accommodate her and also adequate funds to feed and insure Minnie too. Minnie will need someone strong to take her out and about and will need 2 walks a day to keep her happy and healthy. She would also like her own sofa please!

Minnie has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside of the county subject to a successful homecheck. Minnie is fine with other dogs, although her size and their size has to be taken into account when socialising her with other dogs. She can live with older children aged 13+.
We really hope Minnie will be snapped up soon as she desperately needs a family of her own who will love and look after her forever. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you think this could be you, thank you.
12Dec2011 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREDaisy-May – 10 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Daisy-May is around 10 months old and has to be one of the most beautiful dogs, SHE IS STUNNING! She also has the most wonderfully expressive eyes, she wouldn’t need to speak English to let you know what she wanted, she would say it with her eyes, they are amazing.
Daisy-May is only a big pup and is therefore an active, lively girl and would like a family to match her please. She is full of life, fun and love and will no doubt bring you endless hours of entertainment and cuddles. She is very loving and affectionate and just can’t get enough of you basically!
Daisy-May will need human company for a very good part of the day, and also plenty of attention and interaction. She will need 2 good countryside walks every day and a fully enclosed, secure garden for extra fun and games please.

She will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped before being rehomed, and could be rehomed outside of the county subject to a successful homecheck. Daisy-May seems absolutely fine with other dogs, could live with older children and possibly a cat or two!
Daisy-May is a lovely, lovely dog and anyone who adopts her is going to be very lucky indeed! We all look forward to hearing from you.
17Nov2011 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREMishka – 2 year old female Akita
Mishka is certainly very beautiful and looks to be around 2 years old. She is a lively young dog and very keen to meet everyone (and see if you have a treat for her!). She has so been someone’s dog as she looks in too good a condition to have been wandering long. Why can’t people either look after their dogs properly, or contact the appropriate organisations if they can’t! Mishka must have been so upset to find herself lost and alone, the most horrible feeling in the world, poor girl.
Mishka is a decent-sized dog and she will need a home who are experienced with large breeds and who have the time, space and energy to bring out the best in her. She will be spayed, vaccinated and micrcochipped and can be rehomed outside the county subject to a successful homecheck. Mishka will need a home where she gets plenty of exercise every day and where she can have a romp about in an enclosed, secure garden. She will need company for at least half the day and a lovely big bed to snooze in. Mishka could possibly live with another dog and older teenagers.
Mishka has a big character and a big heart to match and will certainly bring her new family hours of entertainment! Please consider her if you can, many thanks.
17Nov2011 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREClifford – 10 month old male Labrador
Clifford is around 10 months old and is a smashing young dog, very friendly and very waggy-tailed. He is soft and loving bless him, and we find it very hard to understand how someone could have just throw him out to fend for himself. He still very much looks like a big puppy and we pray he won’t be waiting long for his new home to come along.
Clifford will of course need someone with him for a big part of the day, and a home where he will get plenty of exercise and stimulation. He will need an active family who will include him in everything they do and where he will be loved beyond measure.
You will need a secure, enclosed garden and be able to take him to a good training class please. He will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside the county of Norfolk subject to a successful homecheck. He could very possibly live with another dog as he is good with other dogs, he would be fine with older children and could possibly live with a cat.
Clifford is a gorgeous boy so please get in touch if you think you can offer him the life we want for him and the life he deserves.
9Nov2011 | West Norfolk RSPCA Re-homing Centre | READ MOREHector – 4 year old male Basset Hound

We will be looking for people with breed experience (or knowledge of the breed) who can appreciate his Bassett Hound ways. He loves a walk and a good sniff of course and will no doubt bring hours of entertainment to his new family. He is good on the lead and just trots along beside you.
Hector has lived with another dog and could live with one again. He can live with teenagers upwards. Hector is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and, subject to a successful homecheck, can be rehomed outside of the county. Hector is full of character and desperately needs to be back in a home as soon as possible please.
