Luke – 18 month old male Whippet Cross

What a lovely boy Luke looks, bless him, I think he is beautiful. Luke has been living in a home for the past year, but now finds himself in kennels through no fault of his own, which is a terrible shame for the poor boy. Whippets are very sensitive dogs and I know that Luke is devastated to find himself alone and behind bars. Being a Whippet X he is looking for an active family who will give him plenty of exericse and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy and who will include him in their lives totally. Luke needs love by the bucketload and will return this love to you a million fold back.

Luke has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and, subject to a successful homecheck, can be rehomed outside of the county.

Luke will need company for a good part of the day, he will need at least 2 very good walks every day, a nice sized garden to run about in and people who will understand his Whippetty ways!

Please get in touch with us as soon as possible if you think you can offer Luke the lovely life he needs, and deserves.

Tina – 8 year old female Labrador cross Collie

Poor, poor Tina has lost both her Mum and Dad and is totally bewildered about the dramatic change in her life. She was having a nice quiet life, and now she is in kennels and it’s totally heartbreaking to see the confusion on her face, she has no idea where her Mum and Dad have gone or why she is behind bars. I could cry for her, I really could.

Tina would love another quiet, steady home please, perhaps with a retired person or couple, or anyone who feels they can give her the lovely life she deserves. We had a nice long while with her whilst I took her photographs and she loved being out on the grass with us, in the sunshine. She just wants someone to tickle her belly and stroke her and talk softly to her to comfort her. She just needs someone to sit in the garden with, to watch the world go by with her, to have a potter around with, someone to take her for a nice walk or two around the village perhaps or down the woods, and above all else someone to sit on the sofa with and have them close to her, so she can look up and check they are still there, every now and then.

Tina is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and, although at our kennels in West Norfolk, she can be rehomed outside the county subject to a successful homecheck. Tina is fine with other dogs and can live with teenagers upwards.

Please consider Tina if you can, she is a lovely girl who is completely bereft, she so needs someone to love her, so she can love them right back.

Rosie – 2 1/2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Rosie is a beautiful 2 1/2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is looking for a new home. Oh my goodness, I can actually hardly bear to write this as I find Rosie massively upsetting. I find all the dogs upsetting of course, but Rosie has got to me even more than usual as she reminds me so much of my own dog (who is a white Whippet cross Staffie and who weighs much more than Rosie!). Rosie has been starved until she is virtually just a skeleton with the skin stretched over it, which is hideous to see and it’s too much even to think about how she has suffered.

I have cried buckets over Rosie, she is one of the most pitiful sights I have even seen, but I think her face is stunningly beautiful. I can’t tell you how much I love Rosie, she has the most wonderful temperament despite the horrific way she has been treated. She just can’t get enough of you and wants to sit on your lap continuously. She literally went from my lap to Junko’s and back again, all she wants is to be held and to feel safe…..AND LOVED. I could have sat there all day with Rosie, holding her and whispering that she would be alright now. She absolutely hates being in the kennel as she just wants to be with people so very, very much.

Rosie will want someone at home with her for a good part of the day and somewhere where she will get lots of attention, It will need to be a calm, steady household where she will feel safe and secure and where she can start to relax properly. I have no doubt that Rosie will settle really well and hopefully then she can put her past behind her.

In addition to lots of love to give, you will need an enclosed secure garden for Rosie, she will also need a couple of nice countryside or beach walks every day (with a nice, cosy coat on as it is turning colder now) and she will need a deep, squashy, cosy bed to keep her warm and for her to be comfortable please.

If you want to love and cherish Rosie as much as I do then please get in touch as soon as possible. Rosie NEEDS to be in a home right now please, please can you help her???

Tina is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and could be rehomed outside of the county subject to a successful homecheck. She could possibly live with another dog, of a similar age or older, and could live with sensible older children. She cannot live with cats I’m afraid.

Please consider Tina if you can, she is a lovely girl who is completely bereft, she so needs someone to love her, so she can love them right back.

Pippa and Panda – 1 year old male and female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Pippa and Panda are a gorgeous pair of 1 year old Staffies and we really hope that we can rehome them together. When Panda went off for a walk after I took his photographs, Pippa was very keen to see where he had gone, so it would be a crying shame to split them up as they are obviously great pals and are of course taking great comfort from each other now that they have lost their home.

They are both very cuddly and very waggy-tailed and Panda did make us laugh, he was nearly turning himself right over (on is head!) in his attempts to snuggle up to Junko, he is hilarious. He is a decent-sized Staffie but very soft with it and I fell in love with him immediately.

Pippa is of course very sweet too, and she loved giving Junko kisses and didn’t want to leave her side. She is much smaller than Panda as you can see, and is very manageable.

They have both been neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside of Norfolk subject to a successful homecheck. They are both good with other dogs and could live with children aged 10+.
They are very upset to find themselves in kennels and I really hope we can get them back in a home as soon as possible, if not sooner! Please can you help them?

They are an adorable duo who will make an ideal, ready-made doggy family.

Harley – 1 year old male Collie Cross

Harley is an absolute delight! We could have fussed and played with him all day. He is a beautiful dog and his new owners are going to be very lucky indeed, I absolutely love him. Considering he is in kennels, which no dog wants to be, he is a wonderfully happy boy, thrilled to see everyone and although he has not had much experience of life, he doesn’t seem phased by anything going on around him, including building work, lots of different people and lots of other dogs etc. I think that is a real testament to his lovely nature.

Harley will need someone with plenty of time to spend with him during the day, and someone prepared to take him out and about and show him what a wonderful life a dog can have. He could very possibly live with another dog as he good with dogs and could also possibly live with a cat. Any children in his new family could be aged 10+. He will need a couple of very good walks a day, either in the countryside or at the beach, he will need a secure, enclosed garden for extra fun and games and he will need people who will love and cherish him for the rest of his life and include him totally in their lives.

When I visited Harley again today I took him into our big, grassed dog enclosure. What an absolute pleasure Harley is to be with. We had a thoroughly good game of ball and we both enjoyed ourselves! We practised his ‘sit’ again before every ball throw and even then he did it perfectly. He is such a good boy, I can’t tell you. He was very gentle with the ball too and if we both went for it at the same time he was the perfect gent and let me take it, no problem whatsoever.

Harley is a very intelligent dog (he can do ‘sit’ in a nanosecond!) and would be an absolute dream to train, although he is already very good at the basics.

Harley is a fabulous boy and needs an active family as soon as possible so that he can start his life properly now please.

Watson, Wilson, James, Jones, Jarvis and Smith – 6 month old male Lurchers

Oh my goodness….my heart missed a beat when I saw these boys, they are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, although that really doesn’t go anywhere near far enough to describe them! They are all 6 months old and their names are Watson, Wilson, James, Jones, Jarvis and Smith. There are 4 creamy white boys, 1 whiter boy with a brown nose and one fawn coloured boy.

They have had a sheltered life until now and their experience of the outside world is limited. A couple of them are more nervous at the moment than the others, and some are quite confident. They will need gradual introduction into all the sights and sounds of a family home and not be bombarded with new experiences all at once. Ideally we will be looking for dog-experienced homes that are calm and steady and where the dogs will have human company for the majority of the day. However, if you haven’t had a dog before, but have done lots of research into having a rescue dog and have had plenty of contact with dogs, please do apply. They will need housetraining, so please be prepared for this undertaking if you apply for one of these dogs. They will also need lead training as they are not used to being on the lead at all. (This doesn’t mean that they can be let off the lead though, as they will have no recall.)

They will need plenty of exercise every day and will need a good-sized garden in which to let off steam and have a good race about, as they have been used to having a large area in which to run. Your garden will need to be securely fenced with preferably a 6ft solid wooden fence or a wall. They will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being rehomed. They could possibly be rehomed outside of the county (within reason), subject to a successful homecheck.

Although they do not have to be rehomed with another dog, they would no doubt love to live with another dog as they have never been separated from their brothers. They are very playful with each other so although any resident dog will need to be calm and steady, they will also need to like playing too! Any children in their new families will need to be older as they have no experience of children, and they could possibly live with cats.

They are very loving and certainly enjoy having a fuss, we could have cuddled them all day! They are going to be great fun as they have fantastic spirit and you can see they will have a great sense of humour! Everyone at the Centre has fallen in love with them and we all thoroughly enjoyed their photo session. We could have watched them all playing all day! It was also lovely to see one of them relax enough to lay out on the grass in the sun and almost go to sleep! He was a true sleeping beauty!

These boys are going to make wonderful family companions, I wish I could have one of them!

Many thanks.

Wispa – 9 month old male Boxer cross Mastiff

Wispa is a 9 month old Boxer cross Mastiff who had to come into rescue through no fault of his own. He has lived as part of a family since he was a puppy and must wonder why his world has changed so much and where all the people he knows and loves have gone. He is a very friendly boy and extremely loving and just wants to be with you. He is only young and really needs a new forever home as soon as possible. He is very distressed to be in kennels and is losing weight as all he wants is to be with people.

http://www.imagepuppy.com/resized/6b1aa8a8c17f8e4486c7292bff93ac35.jpg

Wispa was no doubt housetrained, travels well, is good on the lead and can be left for short periods. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and can be rehomed outside of the county, subject to a successful homecheck. He will need human company for a good part of the day, a secure enclosed garden for extra fun and games and a lovely cosy bed to snooze in please.

Please consider Wispa if you want a largish family dog, who will love you a million times over and bring you endless hours of fun and entertainment. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Gatsby – 11 month old male Lurcher

Poor, poor Gatsby, the 11 month old Lurcher, was absolutely terrified when he arrived with us, it was heartbreaking to see. How could someone make a dog so petrified, it makes your blood boil doesn’t it. Gatsby is slowly coming round and beginning to realise that he is safe now and nothing horrible is going to happen to him, however, he is still quite nervous, bless his heart. He so desperately wants to make friends though and will give you very, very gentle bird-like kisses.

We are looking for a calm, peaceful home for Gatsby, perhaps with one or two adults and with or without older teenagers (and no visiting young children). Gatsby must be allowed to settle at his own pace once in his new home and I’m sure, in time, he will begin to relax and will start to blossom into a wonderful boy. Hopefully then he can start to enjoy life, and all that goes with being a cherished and loved member of the family.

Please consider Gatsby if you want to make a massive difference to a dog’s life, if you want to see him grow in confidence day by day and if you want to show him how wonderful the relationship can be between a human and a dog. Thank you in advance.

Skidoo – 10 month old male Siberian Husky

Poor Skidoo, the 10 month old Siberian Husky, has been cruelly abandoned, but not before being starved! He looks shockingly thin, and that’s with having a thick coat over his bones, bless his heart. He is a stunning, majestic looking dog and it’s so upsetting to see how someone has treated him.

Skidoo has not long arrived with us (15/9/11), but he seems a lovely boy and is very friendly. He is only a young dog, but he appears steady and after a short while posing for his photo’s he was happy to chill out on the grass. He absolutely loved sitting with us in the sunshine (and us with him), it was a real joy to see him closing his eyes in the bliss of being outside and with company.

Skidoo will be neutered (when he weighs enough), and has been vaccinated and microchipped. Although at our kennels on the outskirts of King’s Lynn in Norfolk, he can be rehomed outside of the county subject to a successful homecheck.

Skidoo is very distressed to be in kennels of course and we all really hope we can find him a loving home as soon as possible. He is stunningly gorgeous, like all our Huskies, and will no doubt be very popular, but he will need a home that can meet his needs please. He will want plenty of company throughout the day, plenty of good exercise either in the countryside or at the beach, a lovely comfy bed and good quality food to build him up. Above all else he needs a family who will love and cherish him for the rest of his life….and where his past life will be long forgotten.

A gorgeous boy…..the Huskies always make me want one!
