Simba – 17 month old male German Shepherd Dog
Simba is a 17 month old German Shepherd boy who has recently returned to branch care through no fault of his own. This loving young man is very affectionate and gets on well with other dogs and children. Being a young dog and a high energy breed, Simba needs regular exercise and committed owners who will help him improve his lead walking. He is house trained, knows how to sit for his food, has good recall and has been living in a house with a resident cat.
His ideal new family will have had large breed experience and be prepared to spend time with this handsome human orientated boy who loves a cuddle. If you would like to offer Simba a permanent home please call 07853 892884.

Benji is an 8 year old red English Cocker Spaniel (neutered) who came into care through no fault of his own. He gets on well with other dogs and children and has given the foster team no cause for concern since his arrival in the New Year. He is house trained, crate trained and only pulls a bit on the lead however his recall will need a little work.
Benji is not territorial and while he gets on well with other dogs he is not a big player or particularly interested in toys. This older gent is a happy, relaxed and easy going dog who is people orientated. Benji does like company and would be most comfortable a quite household.

Tommy is a 7 year old male Terrier cross who came into care because of his owner’s ill health. His foster carer says he has settled well within the family and his new home, is house trained and has good recall. Tommy gets on well with other dogs but does not enjoy the company of cats and will chase anything furry.
He currently lives with another dog and a house that has two children who love to play with him. Tommy is crate trained, travels well in the car and is a very loving little dog. He would be ideally suited to a home where someone is around for most of the time as he is not very happy when left alone for long periods.

Max is a 2 year old male Saluki who came into care through no fault of his own. He is good with cats, dogs and children having lived with them all. Max has a very gentle nature and is a quiet, docile dog so would not be suitable to a very busy household. He walks well on the lead and enjoys a run through the woods though his recall is not instant.
Recent experience has shown that he is frightened of fireworks however this is an issue that can be addressed. His foster carer describes Max as a truly lovely dog and says that everyone he meets falls in love with his gentle and affectionate nature. Toby is an 8 month old male Labrador cross who has only just come into our care, but we have found him to be good with other dogs, cats and children. He will need to be taught some manners, so an experienced owner is required who is prepared to work with him.
Toby needs to be in an active household because he is young and a high energy breed so will need regular, daily exercise.
Charlie – 6 month old male Border Collie
Charlie is a 6 month old male Border Collie who came to us approximately 6 weeks ago following a road traffic accident. He has now fully recovered. He is a typical Border Collie and would need an experienced owner, prepared to put in the training he requires. Charlie gets on well with other dogs but is not so keen on cats and is good around children over 5 years. Like all Border Collies he needs someone who will spend time exercising and stimulating him – he is not a couch potato. If you would like to offer Charlie a permanent home please call 07853 892884.
Sandy – 5 year old female Jack Russell Terrier
Sandy is a 5 year old female Jack Russell Terrier who came into care because her owner had a change of circumstances and was no longer able to care for her. She is house trained and really enjoys the company of other dogs but is less happy around other animals. Sandy has had a poor start to her early life so while she is very happy in the company of women she is much less comfortable with men and is fearful of them. She has not had an opportunity to learn recall or to walk on a lead.
Sandy is unhappy about being left alone so she will need experienced and dedicated Jack Russell owners who have the patience to help her become more comfortable being alone, more confident in dealing with her fearful side and to manager her chase drive where bikes are concerned. This affectionate little dog has had very limited opportunity to be a dog or to learn to handle the hustle and bustle of modern life. She would benefit from a home with or without another balanced dog but one that does not have children. Darcy is an 8 month old female Beagle who is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. She is a lively young girl who is very curious and into everything. Darcy loves going on walks and running around the countryside so will need active owners who can keep her interest. Darcy is house trained, used to living with children and gets on well with other dogs but is not keen on cats. This cuddly youngster has good recall but would benefit from some more lead training. Oscar – 2 year old male English Springer Spaniel
Oscar is a 2 year old male English Springer Spaniel has come into care because of his owner’s change of circumstances. He has been in the family since he was a puppy and has been well cared for. Oscar would be an ideal candidate for gun dog training as he is very intelligent and has a lot of energy to use up. He is an affectionate happy dog who is used to living with children and gets on well with other dogs. Piper – 20 month old female Rhodesian Ridgeback Cross
Piper is a 20 month old female Rhodesian Ridgeback cross. We have recently been asked to re-home this lovely dog due to a change in her owner’s situation. This loving young dog requires plenty of exercise so would suit someone who has the time and energy to meet her needs. She gets on well with other dogs and is currently living in a home with a dog, cat and two children.
