Ellie – 2 year old female Cross-Breed
Ellie is a lovely 2 year old brindle and white cross-breed girl and has recently been signed over to us after being abandoned. She is quite an insecure little girl and needs time to get to know people…which doesn`t take long once she is out of the kennel. She is very affectionate and loving and adores sitting on your knee for a cuddle. We feel she would be fine to be left alone for 1-2 hours once settled into her new home.

She is very unsure of other dogs and doesn`t quite know if she likes them or not. We advise training classes to help with this issue. She is very well trained and sits, gives paw, answers to her name, and her recall is very good. We advise a home as an only pet for now and with children over 10 years. After being abandoned all she is craving is some stability and some constant love from a stable, secure family. Is there anyone out there for such a gorgeous, gentle little girl?

Axle is a white and brindle 9 year old cross-breed boy who we think is the best, friendliest, cuddliest dog by far, and most handsome boy with a personality to match. He came to us with Tilly the boxer because his daddy is ill and cannot look after them any more. To cheer him up we give him lots of cuddles and love, but nothing compares to the warmth and love of a family. He will need a little training, as he is a strong boy and loves to play, and sometimes forgets his manners!! He doesn`t like cats…but hey we can`t all be cat lovers!!! He has lived with another dog, but in here is has been a little boisterous and over the top, and it is a little hard to read how he would feel about living with another dog.

Due to this we would be willing to do a meet and greet with a submissive female dog, but would maybe like him to go as an only dog until his new owners get to know him a little better! He is a big squishy, handsome boy with a heart of pure gold, who`s only mission in life is to find a loving new family and fast. He would be fine to live with children 12 + will consider 10 + pending a meet and greet. Any children need to be confident and dog experienced. He would also be fine to be left in the home for 2-3 hours after settling in.

Cloe is a 7 year old black and tan German Shepherd Dog who came to us as a case dog which has now concluded and she can hopefully find a new home and a fresh new start. She is a fantastic girl who knows a lot of commands and absolutely adores anyone she knows and trusts. She does pull on the lead a lot, but is much better in a canny collar. She is such a sweet lass but obviously has guarding tendancies. She can be very protective over her handler and will probably guard whatever home she is in. Once she knows a person though she stops the barking and greets you with a swish of her tail and a lick!

Due to these tendancies we would prefer a home with children over 16 years, but may consider 14 years and over if they are confident and willing to spend time coming to the centre to get to know her and bond with her. She doe not like cats and we advise she be an only pet. When introduced to dogs she seems fine…wags and seems submissive, but then she growls and starts barking, so please be aware she may be picky with friends or may just not want any at all! She will be fine to be left in the home alone for 4-5 hours.
Cloe has had mammary tumors removed which were tested and were negative for anything nasty. this is something which may need to be monitored. She is a favorate here at the centre and everyone loves her, please ignore the barking in her kennel and see her for the lovely, sweet girl we all do.

Sasha is a 4 year old black and tan Rottweiler girl who came to us as a case dog with Roxy, and now that the case is concluded she can put her misfortune behind her and look for a fresh new loving home. She is quite the hefty girl!! and loves to play and run, but can be a little clumsy at times! She walks very well on a canny collar and can sit, give paw, knows her name and recalls very well. We recommend her as an only pet, as she loves roxy but doesn`t seem too keen on other boisterous dogs, but seems better with submissive males.

We advise children over 12 years as sometimes she can be a little dominant, we may however consider 10 years and over if they are sensible and used to big dogs. Sasha is a great girl to be with and she adores being loved and fussed. Just like she does in here with her kennel mums she lavishes more love in return than you can imagine.
Sasha would really like a family to bond with and to love, we just hope people see beyound the rotti propogander and see sasha for the beautiful natured girl she really is. She will be fine to be left in the home alone for up to 4 hours (we recommend building up to this).

Calling all patient, caring, understanding, dog lovers – meet Sonny, a 3 year old brindle cross-breed boy. Sonny needs an extra special home with someone that is willing to spend time prior to adopting to get to know him and vica versa. On first meetings Sonny is very scared and nervous and very untrusting. It doesn`t take an awful lot to bring him round, but potential owners need to be aware that this process will be needed for every new person that meets him.

We advise that he should wear a muzzle in public and at the vets (air on the side of caution), and he be taken to training classes, to train and socialise with people and dogs as he does tend to get on well with other dogs but sometimes can bark in unknown situations. He is a very playful boy who worships the people he trusts and all he wants to do is love and please you. Here in kennels he is extremely stressed and so we have left him in a quiet area. A home with children over 16 years is advised.
He has previously lived with a cat but we’re not sure if he would be best suited in a cat free home or with a dog confident cat. He will be fine to be left alone for 1-2 hours but will ideally need a special home with someone available to spend time with him most of the day.

Faith is a bubbly, bouncy, 4 year old brindle and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier, bundle of joy and gets very excited to the point where she can get quite nippy and nibbly, therefore a home with children over 10 years is prefered. She has lived with another male dog and has been brilliant with other dogs she has met in here just want to jump on them, play, and run about. She is not good with cats.

Faith adores her toys and will chase after them all day long, however she is quite lacking in her basic commands! We recommend she go to weekly classes. We are unsure if she is house trained but she is very clean in her kennel. Faith came in with poor skin and so it is important to know that this may reoccur and will need monitoring. Can you offer this little bundle of joy a loving new active home?
