Meg – 9 year old female Border Collie

Meg is a 9 year old female Border Collie who has lost three homes through no fault of her own. She desperately needs to settle down once and for all. She gets on with other dogs although she can get a little jealous. She is fine with cats. She suffers with nightmares but this isn’t a problem if she is left alone. She would be best suited to an adult only home although in general she is fine with children.

She is currently being cared for by an experienced owner on behalf of the RSPCA Tunbridge Wells & Maidstone branch who is happy to provide all info, advice and back up to any potential new owners within the Kent and surrounding areas. Meg has been neutered, micro-chipped and is vaccinated.

Eddie – 4 year old male Labrador cross German Shepherd

Eddie is a very strong 4 year old Labrador cross German Shepherd boy who completely adores his friends but does not like strangers until introduced properly. He does show some agression to other dogs and we cannot say what he would be like with cats. Sadly he was never socialised and needs the right person (strong, experienced and committed) to teach him to trust strangers.

He is a really emotional dog who will make a fantastic companion for the right owner. Obviously because of his mistrust of some people he would be best suited to an adult only home.

Buster and Zac – 8 and 9 year old male Jack Russell Terriers

This is Buster and Zac aged 8 years and 9 years old Jack Russell Terriers. They came in because their owner had to give a home to her children and their families due to them losing theirs. The house was then really overcrowded causing the dogs to become nervous with so many people in a small space.

buster and zac

We think they would be best with older children as they will not want to be pulled around too much. They have not lived with other dogs or cats.Their owner was very upset parting with them and said they had never been any bother in any way.We are looking for a home in Kent and surrounding counties.

Buddy – 3 year old male Labrador Retriever

This is Buddy, he is a 3 year old neutered black Labrador Retriever boy. He needs a very active home as he is highly excitable and it would not be good for him to just be a family pet with lack of training/stimulation etc.We have advice from our behavourist for new owners.

Because of his energy levels, we would prefer to rehome him to a household with children 12 years and upwards. He may be suitable to live with some dogs, depending on successful introductions but would prefer a cat free home.

Bruno – 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Bruno is a gorgeous 3 year old neutered red Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is looking into your eyes asking for a loving home. He can live with children 7 + as long as they are calm and any play would have to be supervised as he loves it too much and is very strong-strictly no tug of war games!

He has lived with another male dog but because of his rough play some dogs may not be prepared to put up with him, he would be best suited in a cat free home. He would need to undertake supervised socialisation with calm, large breeds in order for him to ‘re-learn’ appropriate play behaviours. He does show seperation anxiety so new owners must undertake a specail programme with him from day one.

He will make someone a really lovely companion bonding with them in a really short space of time.

China – 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Meet China, a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier male who has sadly been pushed out of his home in favour of a Rottweiler passed to his family by relatives and the two dogs don’t get along. China had been with the family most of his life after being rescued from someone who was going to turn him loose on the motorway and is now having to start all over again.

He has to leave all the children in the house that he has played with for years (the owner said he was best with older ones) as with a lot of Staffordshire Bull Terriers he is great with people (the kennel loves him) but no other dogs according to the owner. However the kennels says he has not reacted much towards the other dogs. We are waiting on an assessment to determine more. He is also not too keen on cats. Hopefully there is someone out there that can give this loving boy a really kind home for the rest of his days ideally in Kent or the bordering counties.

Tash – 16 week old female German Shepherd

Tash is a 16 week old long-haired black German Shepherd female. She is a gorgeous bundle of fluff! She came to us because she was too much for the 18 month old child in the home but fine with children 5 years and upwards, but we would ideally prefer her to live with children 12 years + as a puppy she can be quite hyper at times and so older children would be preferred.

She is good with other dogs and cats, she does have some separation anxiety but her foster parents seem to be working on her activity levels and hyperactivity daily and are successfully turning this around. She will make someone a wonderful pet but does need someone who is at home most of the time as she is so young and will need lots of stimulation and walks ideally in Kent or the bordering counties.

Nipper – 4 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Nipper is a 4 year old long-haired Jack Russell Terrier. He came to us because there were four Jack Russell’s in the home and one of the other males didn’t like him. Our assessor has described him as one of the loveliest Jack Russell Terrier’s she has ever met.

logo

He can be rehomed with children but as you can see he is a delicate chap, so the children must be used to living with dogs. He would be fine to live with other dogs but our assessor advises socialisation classes. He would be best suited in a cat free home ideally in Kent or the bordering counties.
