Trent - 4 year old male Rottweiler
Trent is a Rottweiler male, aged approximately 4 years old. We have just taken Trent in from the dog pound where he has been for six weeks. Trent is very well behaved although he does pull on the lead, he will sit when you tell him to.
He is very friendly with people although we have yet to try him with other dogs and children. He has shown no signs of aggression whilst in the kennels with us.
Trent is a large stong dog so would need an owner who could handle him.

Kia is a lovely 6 month old female Rottweiler who’s owner just went and left her yet she is well cared for and has a beautiful coat. Kia is a happy outgoing girl who has lived with small children and other dogs, she is house-trained and has a full tail.
She needs some training as tends to pull on the lead but is food orientated so that should be easy to solve. We would prefer a home in the North East if possible and someone who can provide vet references if we cannot do a home visit. Kia would make a great family pet!

Mia is a female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross aged approximately 10 weeks old. She was found as a stray. Mia is an open book at the moment and needs care and training as all puppies do. Can you offer her a loving new home?
Micky - 10 week old male Cross-Breed
Micky is a male cross-breed aged approximately 10 weeks old. This lovely boy was found wandering the streets as a stray. He is a cute little boy who needs a loving home to teach him and care for him. Can you offer him a loving new forever home?
Lofty - 2-3 year old male Collie Cross
Lofty is a Collie cross male aged approximately 2-3 years old, Lofty has a sad story, his owner died at Christmas and Lofty and another dog we named Noel were found in the house, unfortunately when the council entered Lofty escaped and has been evading capture since. In March we finally managed to bring him in to rescue to find a new home.
He was very nervous and has been having TLC in the kennels. He is only a young dog but has now come round and is friendly. We hope to find a home in the north east where he could be cared for.

Pip is an 11 month old German Shepherd cross male who has great potential with training. His family had to part with him and he is now in kennels waiting for a new home. He is used to children and other dogs and needs a home where he can have excercise and fun.
Shadow - 5 year old female Weimaraner
Shadow is a 5 year old Weimaraner female. She is a lovely dog, good with other dogs, people and children. Shadow is house-trained, vaccinated and neutered. Shadow is a little nervous when she first meets you but once you have been around her for 10 minutes she comes to get a stroke.
Unfortunately she cannot be trusted around livestock, so desperately needs a home in a more urban environment.
She is a great dog but needs a home away from farms asap. We would like a home that has experience of this breed or other gun dogs.

Bailey is a 10month old Labrador cross who has come in to us because his owner was working long hours. Bailey is full of fun, just an overgrown puppy who needs basic training. He seems to be good with other dogs, he needs exercise and someone to be at home with him for most of the day.
Smith - 1 year old male Whippet Cross
Smith is a Whippet cross male aged approximately 1 years old. He has the same history as Jones (also featured on DogsBlog.com) except that Smith is rather thin at the moment and needs some TLC.
Jones - 1 year old male Whippet Cross
Jones is a Whippet cross male aged approximately 1 years old. He came into the local dog pound at a different time to Smith (also featured on DogsBlog.com) though they look alike and are kennelled together. Save our Strays took them both into our care as they had been in the pound 10days. Jones seems a quiet nature but we do not know how he is with cats. He is a lovely little dog!
