Lofty - 2-3 year old male Collie Cross
Lofty is a Collie cross male aged approximately 2-3 years old, Lofty has a sad story, his owner died at Christmas and Lofty and another dog we named Noel were found in the house, unfortunately when the council entered Lofty escaped and has been evading capture since. In March we finally managed to bring him in to rescue to find a new home.
He was very nervous and has been having TLC in the kennels. He is only a young dog but has now come round and is friendly. We hope to find a home in the north east where he could be cared for.

Pip is an 11 month old German Shepherd cross male who has great potential with training. His family had to part with him and he is now in kennels waiting for a new home. He is used to children and other dogs and needs a home where he can have excercise and fun.
Shadow - 5 year old female Weimaraner
Shadow is a 5 year old Weimaraner female. She is a lovely dog, good with other dogs, people and children. Shadow is house-trained, vaccinated and neutered. Shadow is a little nervous when she first meets you but once you have been around her for 10 minutes she comes to get a stroke.
Unfortunately she cannot be trusted around livestock, so desperately needs a home in a more urban environment.
She is a great dog but needs a home away from farms asap. We would like a home that has experience of this breed or other gun dogs.

Bailey is a 10month old Labrador cross who has come in to us because his owner was working long hours. Bailey is full of fun, just an overgrown puppy who needs basic training. He seems to be good with other dogs, he needs exercise and someone to be at home with him for most of the day.
Smith - 1 year old male Whippet Cross
Smith is a Whippet cross male aged approximately 1 years old. He has the same history as Jones (also featured on DogsBlog.com) except that Smith is rather thin at the moment and needs some TLC. He has been with us the longest since March. He has improved so much although is still very thin. He does not like being in kennels and jumps up and down all the time.
He enjoys being out for walks and is now much better with other dogs. He is attending Training sessions every week with the other rescue dogs and I hope this will help him.
He seems to be good with children as I have tested him with children on viewing days. Smith would love to find a new home with Jones if possible!

Jones is a Whippet cross male aged approximately 1 years old. He came into the local dog pound at a different time to Smith (also featured on DogsBlog.com) though they look alike and are kennelled together. Save our Strays took them both into our care as they had been in the pound 10days. Jones seems a quiet nature but we do not know how he is with cats. He is a lovely little dog!
Maxx
Maxx is a 1 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier male. He is very friendly and does not seem to have any problems. He has come into kennels through social services and his owner has since died. He has been in kennels since November so we really need to find him a good home. For further details please ring Carol on 01642 317163.
Monty
Monty is a 14 month old white Boxer male. He is deaf and he has come into our care because the family who have had him since a puppy cannot cope. Monty is house-trained, good with children as he has been brought up with two. He is also good with other dogs.
He needs a home where someone can spend time training with hand signals,ideally with another dog to show him the way forward.Monty is bright and will learn quickly.
Is there anyone used to Boxers who could help fin a home for this lovely dog who has lost the only home he had known? We would prefer Monty to be rehomed in the north east area.We are close to Middlesbrough.

Josh is a 6 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier male. He was rescued from a street fight and came into our care. He is with a foster carer and gets on well with her children but chooses his dog friends so maybe would need to be an only dog. He is a very good looking dog, the photo is not very clear as he clashes with the carpet!
Squirrell
Squirrell is a 1 year old Terrier cross female who was found as a stray she was very thin and needed some T.L.C. Squirrell is a lively little dog who needs someone to love her.
She can be funny with other dogs so a home on her own would be ideal.
