Sidney – 4-5 year old male Lurcher

Sidney is a special Lurcher boy aged around 4-5 years old. He is rough coated, black with white areas and he is a medium sized dog. He is a happy, loving, desperate to please boy, who is intelligent and has great recall.

Sidney is housetrained and very happy with humans with all ages. He would probably be best homed with older children for no other reason than he can be a bit bouncy. Although Sidney isn’t dog aggressive he can have issues with some dogs and so it would be better if he was homed as an only dog. Sidney can not live with cats.

Sidney was previously in a foster home where he had done brilliantly. He loved his cuddles, being spoiled and he walks really well on the lead. He has since come back into kennels as he didn’t get along with the foster home’s resident male dog. His foster Mum was devastated because that aside he really is an ideal pet. Sidney does not like being in kennels and gets very distressed.

If you are looking for a great pal to go jogging with, do obedience training or just to throw a ball with, Sidney is your man! He is deeply loyal, very trusting and ever so loving. He just needs that chance to prove he can be your best friend.

If you feel you have the perfect home for Sidney and you can come along and rescue this little lad, who has been waiting for such a long time, please contact SGS.

Kammy – 2 year old female Greyhound

Kammy is a beautiful, friendly, 2 year old Greyhound girl. She has been retired from racing because she doesn’t like to run on the tracks, she doesn’t mind a wee sprint round the paddock though!

Kammy can be a bit timid but soon comes out of her shell when she gets to know you, from what we know of Kammy she will be one of those dogs who could only ever be allowed off lead in a fully enclosed safe area, although she is very food oriented so any other training should hopefully be relatively easy. She’s also a playful little girl and would love another greyhound to play with, one of our assessors says she is a wee gem who loves her cuddles.
