Jerry Lee – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Jerry Lee is approximately 2 years old, cross-breed. He is a gorgeous, happy go lucky boy who has so much to give to the right family! He is really affectionate, loving, loyal and very clever!! He is great with other dogs and children.

Jerry would love an active family home who would give him lots of exercise and attention. We also think he will be great at something like agility as he is a really clever boy and can do lots of tricks that will make you laugh. He really wants to please and will make a wonderful family dog!! Jerry is good on the lead and off-lead he has really good recall.

Sadly Jerry was signed over to us because his family could no longer keep him due to personal reasons. We know they were devastated to have to leave him. He is currently fostered in Reading. He is such a good boy, and such a lovely character, please do get in touch if you can give Jerry his forever home.

Scamp – 6 year old male Cross-Breed

Meet a very special boy called Scamp,he is 6 year old Cross-Breed . He was found in Spain in a very bad way, blind in one eye, torn ears and very scared. He has spent the last few years in the shelter looking for his forever home. Scamp is such a gentle, loving and affectionate boy, he just melts your heart when you meet him! Scamp is around 6 years old and is a cross-breed.

Scamp is a lovely, cuddly, quiet boy who just loves affection and enjoys his home comforts. He really is so easy-going! He would love a quiet, loving home where he can flourish and get all the love, care and attention he deserves. He is clean in the house, and very laid back. He does love his walks too, but loves lazing about and being cuddled.

Scamp will be happy living with another female dog or as an only dog. He is not great with other male dogs, we think that perhaps his ear and eye injury was caused by another dog attacking him, but with time and socialisation we think this can be worked on.

Scamp has tested positive for leishmania and will need daily tablets, he also needs eye-drops daily.

Scamp is, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Please do get in touch if you can offer this wonderful, very special boy his forever home or would like more information on him. He is fostered in Mid-Wales.

Bonnie – 3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Bonnie is a 3 year old little Staffordshire bull terrier. Bonnie is such an affectionate, sweet and clever girl who really wants to please. In one day she learnt sit, down, stay and leave.

Bonnie is vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped and has been living with another female dog and a cat for the last year. Unfortunately Bonnie has developed a habit of chasing her tail after not being taken out for over 6 months in her previous home and as a result had to have the tip of her tail amputated.

We feel this behaviour will stop once she feels happy and has regular exercise, routine and some TLC. Bonnie is a calm and easy dog who is very undemanding. She has a very sweet and gentle nature and would make a great pet. Bonnie is fantastic with children and currently is being fostered in a family with young boys 4 and 12 years old. Sadly Bonnie doesn’t get on brilliantly with the male dogs in the house, however she is getting much better.

Bonnie’s foster mum says she is one of the most wonderful fosters she has ever had. If anyone wants a gorgeous addition to a family who will dote on the children and be grateful for every ounce of attention, Bonnie is your girl. She gets on fine with female dogs but not dominant male dogs – just yet. Bonnie is being fostered in Surrey.

Please do get in touch if you feel you can offer Bonnie her forever home.

Silver – 3 year old male Podenco Andaluz

Silver is a stunning little rough coated Podenco Andaluz – he is about 3 years old. He is so affectionate and friendly. He was found wandering around in the Spanish countryside. He gets on with all the other dogs and loves playing with them. He also loves getting cuddles from all the volunteers. He is very talkative and makes lots of sighs when you give him affection. Silver really is a great character, a ‘Mr Personality’ and a stunning boy.

Silver is a happy and curious dog that is facing new challenges with enthusiasm. He would make a great and loving companion and he is really open to training. He walks really nicely on the lead, but will need recall work as he is curious in things outside – the typical hound instincts! Silver’s would fit into almost any home, but we would love him to be in a home where he can get all the love and attention he deserves. Experience with sight-hounds would also be ideal.

Silver is great with cats and has not shown any interest in them in his current foster home (he does not even look at them!) .

Silver really deserves to be loved and made a fuss of. If you can offer him a special place on your sofa he will repay you with lots of love and is sure to make you laugh at his cheeky antics every day! He really does deserve some TLC. He is so loving and incredibly affectionate. Here is what his foster Mum says about him:

“this little man has totally stolen our hearts,he has only been with us a short while and is proving to be the most delightful little person. He is very affectionate,a true cuddle monster, very bright and responsive, has basic commands but would be very easy to educate further as he is very food orientated ,(which is not surprising as he was found starving)good on the lead, good to travel, completely ignores my cat,so fair to say he is cat friendly, excellent with my Lurcher, plays and shares toys with her.Adores children and people. This is one totally charming little boy,who deserves his forever sofa(which he cuddles up with you and falls fast asleep!) He is a sighthound so he does need a totally secure garden with room to run and play with a friend.I think that would be his idea of heaven, which he so deserves.”

Silver is currently fostered in Kent. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Please complete our online pre-adoption form via our website if you think you can offer Silver his forever home or contact info@sos-animals.org.uk for more info.

Jack – 1-2 year old male Spanish Greyhound (Galgo)

Jack is a stunning beautiful Galgo Cross (Spanish Greyhound) who really deserves a chance! He is a very gentle boy, he can be a little bit shy at first but once he trusts you is very loving and affectionate. He is full of character and will make a wonderful family pet. He has has so much to give and will really flourish with some one to one attention. He is very food orientated so will be easy to train, he does pull on the lead a little and will need work with his recall.

However he is your typical hound he adores his home comforts, especially sleeping on the sofa! He loves to have a run about the garden and has a little bit of a cheeky side!! Yet he is still quiet and calm in the house. Jack loves his toys especially teddies and he really loves to play!

He is great with all other dogs, cats and dog savvy children. He will really make a wonderful special friend for someone, he is incredibly gentle and loving and loves his walks. Jack would suit an active quiet family as an only dog or with another dog. Ideally with sight-hound experience or be prepared to work with Jack with his recall and have a secure garden.

Sadly Jack was found as a puppy with his Mum & sister – Jill. They were found by a rubbish dump and were rescued in Spain. Since then Jack & Jill have been in kennels until arriving in the UK. He has settled into home life really well and has been clean in the house, but he does not like to be left on his own for too long.

Jack is fostered in Northampton, he is neutered, vaccinated and has a PET passport.

Please do give Jack a chance he really is such a lovely, special boy.

Rusty – 10 year old male Cross-Breed

Beautiful Rusty is such a sweet, gentle affectionate little man! He is a really good boy and so well behaved with a great character to match! Poor Rusty recently had to be handed over to us by his previous owners due to a marriage breakup, he is 10 years old but is very young in himself. He really loves life and especially cuddles and playing with his toys.

Rusty really deserves his chance especially at his age to find his forever home soon, he deserves the very best! We would love him to go to a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life and is the centre of someone’s world! He is loyal, devoted, loving and will make you smile and give you the best cuddles. He will really fit on almost anywhere he is a very easy going boy who will be really happy going on walks and equally as happy curling up on the sofa.

Rusty is fine with cats and other dogs, although he can bark a little at other dogs on the lead we think he is a little insecure and this is fear based. However we would prefer him to either be re-homed as an only dog or with a calmer middle-aged dog.

Rusty is truly a beautiful lovely boy and he is going to make someone really happy :-) please get in touch if you can offer this boy a special place in your heart and on your sofa!!

Rusty has recently been neutered and is vaccinated. Rusty is fostered in Essex

Linda – 2 year old female Pharaoh Hound cross Cross

Linda is such a stunning, super affectionate sweet girl! She is a real little character, full of energy and fun :-) She is just so adorable and loves life! She is really eager to please and is very clever, with some one on one training she will be amazing.

Linda is a Pharaoh Hound Cross (Podenco Adaluz) she is 2 years old and is a small to medium girl she weighs around 12 kg. She does love to have a good run and loves her walks! Linda is a typical hound and loves her home comforts and lounging time. Linda is a very active podenco and would really suit an active quiet rural home with a very secure garden. She is great with the other dogs but loves being with people too and would be happy with other dogs or as an only dog. She really is a bundle of fun and incredibly loving and loyal. Linda really does deserve the chance to find her ideal home.

Sadly she has had a very hard life she was an ex-hunting dog who was kept chained up in a shed until she was worked. However she became scared of gunshots so was no good as a hunting dog so they used her for breeding instead. She was rescued by one of our wonderful volunteers. Despite all this you really would not tell what a terrible past she has – she does not seem phased by much, she is just SO happy all the time it is a really joy to see. She seems fine with cats and dog savvy older children as she does jump up quite a lot.

However ,we do know that she is scared of very loud noises so whoever adopts this stunning girl will need to be aware of this and be very careful with her. Ideally we would like her to be in a rural home.

Linda has also tested positive for leishmania she is on daily medication to manage her condition. She is in great health though and is a vibrant active girl.

Please do contact us for more information on her if you think you could offer this very special girl her forever home :-)
