Theo – 2 1/2 year old male Shar-pei Cross

Theo is great with other dogs and is in a foster home with dogs and many cats. He will occasionally chase cats, so a home with a dog savvy cat or a home without cats would be best. Theo has mixed with young children but not lived with them, so he will need a home with older children (14 plus) only.
Theo is great with our other dogs, chickens and ducks and loves to be with people. He does get worried when left alone so will only be rehomed where there is at least one resident dog and where someone is at home for most of the day. He has been clean in the house in his foster home.
South east dog rescue offers full back up including behavioral advice for all of their dogs. Theo has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, deflead and microchipped.

Henrietta – 6 month old Chihuahua cross Corgi

Henrietta is an approximately 6 month old Chihuahua cross Corgi who was found tied in a cat box and dumped in a cemetery. Henrietta is understandably a little worried about life and is timid of new people but once she gets to know you she is very sweet and cuddly! Henrietta is being fostered with other dogs. She cannot live with cats. She must be rehomed where there is a dog of similar size for her to play with already in the home. Henrietta has started her vaccinations and she will need to be neutered once she is old enough as part of her adoption agreement. Henrietta will need a home with children aged 6 and over. Henrietta is a sweet and loving girl who needs a home that is calm and patient where she can regain her confidence in people.

Sid – 1-2 year old male Stadfforshire Bull Terrier

Please meet Sid who may possibly be the most gorgeous and loving dog in the world! He has the most amazing character and literally loves everyone and everything he meets! Sid originally was found as a stray and ended up on death row in a pound but was saved by a small rescue who took him in. Unfortunately he spent the next year of his life in a kennel as the rescue received absolutely no interest in him and when asked if we would step in and take him on to avoid them putting him to sleep through lack of space..we agreed. Sid now spends his days with us running around at the sanctuary with numerous other dogs of all shapes and sizes and he adores them and is great with our ducks, chickens and geese.

No more days locked in a kennel for this perfect gentleman! Sid has quickly become a favorite with everyone here with his cheerful and enthusiasts greetings for everyone he meets! Sid is walked off lead with many other dogs and has a great recall. He has spent time with my four year old daughter and loves her! When introduced to my cats sid the sissy was a bit worried and tended to avoid them. Sid sleeps at night in a large group of dogs and will wait to be let out in the morning to toilet. Sid is a really loving and loyal dog and he greets me like a long lost friend even if ive only been away for an hour! i absolutely love and adore this gorgoeus pooch and i whilst i will be so very sad to see him leave – i know how much happiness he will bring to his new home and how much he deserves a home and a family to call his own.

Sid loves other dogs and would love to live with another dog in his new home. Or to be adopted with one of his friends here at the sanctuary. He could live with cats as long as he has an owner to protect him from the scary creatures that purr. Sid can live with children aged 6 and over…he would be a little too enthusiastic and clumsy for smaller children. Sid is around 18 months old, and has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. We think he is a lab staffy cross.

Tiny – 7 year old male Rottweiler

My name is Tiny and I’m approximately 7 years old. I’m looking for a new home as my family have decided that they want to buy a puppy in time for Christmas, and because I don’t like other dogs…I had to go. I don’t really understand what’s going on, just that I’ve lost my warm house and bed and ended up in a strange place. Everyone here has been very good to me, but I miss home and I just want my family back. I wish I was young and active again so they would still want me. I didn’t have any doggy friends when I was younger, and so though I don’t know why, I really don’t like other dogs. I still enjoy my walks, but I don’t like to go too far now, so a little stroll each day would be great, and a nice garden to relax in. I’m a little bit wobbly on my back legs, but the nice vet lady said that I don’t need any yucky medicine, so I’m pleased about that! Whilst i don’t like other dogs, but I ADORE people! I love nothing more than cuddles, love and fuss. The more the better! I haven’t ever been around children so I would need an adult home, or a home with children aged 12 plus, without other dogs or cats. I really don’t ask for anything, other than a warm home, lots of love and attention. My name is Tiny, but my heart is massive. Please don’t leave me out in the cold this Christmas…, I’m old, I’m lonely and I just want someone to love. My name is Tiny, but my heart is massive. Please don’t leave me out in the cold this christmas…, I’m old, I’m lonely and I just want someone to love. Please open your heart and your home to a true gentleman, I promise you won’t disappointed. I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed.

Spoldge – 9 year old female Scruffy Terrier

Splodge is a 9 year old who has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Splodge has had a tough life! She has been hit by a car, attacked by a dog and kicked by a horse! None of these incidents have left any lasting medical effects but this poor girl has certainly been through it! Splodge has been the victim of really harsh handling and now naturally she can be nervous of new people but once she knows you she is the most faithful and loveable dog. She doesn’t like raised voices and would love a home with an older couple where she can snuggle up on someone’s lap and snooze the afternoons away after a nice walk. Splodge gets on well with other dogs and has been fine with my cats. She would like a home without children as she likes a quiet life without lots of noise and running about. Splodge is regularly walked off lead with lots of other dogs and she always sticks close to us and checks to see where we are. She loves being in the car and travels well. We are told she is clean in the house. Splodge is so low maintenance and easy to have around, she really is no trouble. All she wants is someone to love her, good food and a warm bed! This beautiful girl has so much to give and asks for so very little in return. Splodge needs a quiet home, with kind and patient people who can help her to see not every human will be horrible to her. Whoever adopts Splodge will be very lucky indeed!

Toto – 2 year old male West Highland Terrier cross Yorkshire Terrier

Please meet Tiny Toto! Poor little Toto has been through far too much at such a young age, and still she is a happy little dog that loves life! Toto is a 2 year old Westie cross Yorkie, She is the size of a small Yorkie and is very soppy and loving. Toto came into rescue and went to a foster home – after only a day in foster she became very poorly very quickly and was taken to the emergency vets, After an examination it was evident that she was pregnant and having serious difficulties!

The vets operated and what they found was horrendous – The pups were all dead and decomposed and she was very very sick! After she was spayed she was still extremly poorly, as the poisons in her womb had caused an infection – after 10 days in intensive care she was finally well enough to come home – Something we thought at one point was never going to happen!

However this was not the end of poor Toto’s suffering – Being back home in familiar surroundings Toto began to pine for her puppies that she had lost – She would collect anything she could find – particularly slippers, socks and shoes and hide them in her basket – She would mother these and not let the other dogs near them! After much work, She is finally beginning to return to the happy little dog she once was! She is extremly affectionate with kids, dogs, anyone and everything she meets! She loves nothing more than to snuggle up with you! She is not overly keen on walks but she is getting more used to them, She has obviously never had them before! She is house trained and would make a perfect addition to any family!

Toto must be homed where there is already a resident dog as she loves the companionship of her own species! She is fine to be left for short periods, but she also loves to come everywhere with you! She travels well in the car or on the train! Can you show Toto how life should be? Toto is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

Yogi – 2 year old male Alaskan Malamute cross German Shepherd

Please meet yummy Yogi and what a gorgeous bear he is!! Yogi is an approximately 2 year old alaskan malamute cross German shepherd. He is a big boy that just loves cuddles and affection! Yogi has been living with 9 other dogs from a yorkie up to a mastiff, old and young and a mix of sexes and has been faultless – He just loves to play with them all, When he isnt playing he likes to snuggle up under your feet on the floor.

He makes a great rug! Yogi is clean in the house apart from the occasional scent marking which is to be expected as he has only recently been neutered. He has been let off lead and stays with our pack, however his recall is not 100% – more when he feels like it! He loves to greet strangers when out and about and is very gentle, He has been around children as young as 7 and laps up all the attention however he would need a home with children aged 12 plus only as he is boisterous and could knock small children over.

He travels perfectly in the car and lays happily in the boot or on the backseat. He has great manners with his food and doesnt guard it at all. Yogi would make a fantastic addition to a family that know the breed – He has typical malamute traits, He is stubborn and only does as he is told when he feels like it. Yogi cannot live with small furries or cats but there must be at least one resident dog in his new home as company for him.

He is a very gentle well mannered and submissive dog, When unsure he will roll over and give you his belly for a rub! Yogi would make a fantastic addition to a new family…Could he be your new guardian angel? He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped

Skye – 2 year old female Labrador Cross

Please meet super Skye! Skye is a 2 year old Labrador cross who is the most striking and unusual grey / blue in colour.  Skye came into rescue after her owner moved into flat where she was not allowed to take pets. Skye has been living with another dog for the last few months and was in a foster home in chelmsford, essex with 4 other dogs and a cat. She loves people and bonds strongly with her primary carer and now she wants to share her all of her love with a family of her own.

Here’s what’s skyes foster mum said about her – Skye is a beautiful girl with a very loving nature, she follows you everywhere around the house and off lead on walks checks back every few minutes without being called because she doesn’t want to lose you. She’s great with other dogs and loves cats but could scare a cat not used to dogs, she is interested in my rabbit but doesn’t try to get at her.

Skye did bark the first few times when I her left but stopped doing it once she realised I was coming home. Skye must be rehomed where there is already at least one resident dog in the home and where someone is home for a good percentage of the day. She could live with cats as long as the cats were used to a dog that sometimes barks at them, and wants to play with them. A cat who is wary of dogs wouldn’t cope with Skye’s harmless yet enthusiastic greetings!

Skye has not lived with young children but has been around young visiting children, whom she has been great with. She could live with children aged 8 plus.

Skye is a sweet and loving dog who really deserves a home of her own. If you can give Skye the second chance.
