Bob – 2 year old male Boxer cross Mastiff

Meet Bob he is a 2 year old Boxer cross Mastiff – Bob has not had the best of starts in his young life – brought as family pet he lived with his family for the first 2 years of his life – a children and another dog – as the child grew and started walking – Bob who by now was a big bouncy boy would knock the child over probably as he flew round the room to get rid of some his energy as he was not walked – this resulted in Bob being shut away in what was in effect a cupboard while the child was up walking around – then their working hours changed and he was left all day – so this poor high energy lovely dog was given up then because he was too much for them – there is lots of dogs with Bob’s story and its extremely sad…

So the Bob we have now 2 years later – is a dog who has had little training – he gets extremely excited and over the top and can easily knock you over – he can mouth but not aggressive but again this is his excitement – we have had a kind soul who has agreed to foster Bob to help him and we have found in the house Bob is an angel but once outside because of his history of not been taken out he can be a bit of a loon, he will bounce around trying to bite his lead, he is a strong dog and will pull and if he see’s other dogs he can get a bit ott. He will rush around the garden and if you are in the way could knock you over.

I am trying to be honest as possible and its probably not going to help find him a home but we are hoping somebody will read this and realise what potential Bob has and are willing to work with him, and not expect miracles overnight. Someone who understands a large breed dog with few manners. He is very lovable, just needs the right person. The best home for Bob would be an adult only home as an only dog so he can get all the attention.

Bob has been neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated.

Bessie – 4 year old female German Shepherd Dog

Meet Bessie – a 4 year old German Shepherd Bitch -I spent quite a lot of time with her today and she really is a lovely well balanced girl – she walked lovely on the lead – took no notice of the other dogs – she was very well behaved and once she got used to me she was so loving – one of those dogs somebody is going to be extremely lucky to have – I wish I could… She is used to living with older children so children over 10 will be fine – she would be fine living with another dog.

Fido and Taco – 4 year old male Terrier and 8 month old male Yorkshire Terrier

These two poor dogs have come in – they are not in the best of the condition and have been kept outside in the garden – they have not had much love or attention – They brought Taco the Yorkshire terrier to keep Fido company. Their marriage has now broken up and the dogs had to go…. These two dogs have had nothing done with them – Fido the older terrier coped quite well but was still very stressed with the new situation and poor Taco was in bits trying to hide up my jumper – he is only meant to be a puppy full of fun instead he is full of fear with no confidence – poor Fido is trying to be brave for the both of them and is doing a much better job than the puppy but he is still struggling…. We need to find a home for both these dogs together – they are a project for somebody to take on – its not going to be easy because of the lack of socialization – they need there confidence built up, they need lots of love – its not going to happen over night there is quite a few months work – but my goodness what you get back will be worth it – we want people experienced of maybe taking on ex breeding dogs – they will understand these two needs – we will not split them as we understand there will be lots of people who want the 8 month Yorkshire Terrier but not Fido – they come as a pair and you must be prepared to love both of them…. They have been brought up with children – but we will not home them to young children because they need the attention and also the peace… Please email in the first instance the life style you can offer these two lovely dogs.

Lyra – 2 year old female Labrador cross Collie cross Staffordshire Bull Terreir

Meet the lovely Lyra – a lab cross collie cross staffie or Boxer – she is 2 years old… Rescued from death from Ireland – Lyra was used to living in a family home with visiting children…. She knows sit, down and stay and loves playing with other dogs…. I have no idea how anyone could have parted with this bitch if I had a space she would be with me at home now .

She is the most adorable dog – she is very much lab temperament and loves everybody – she is going to make a fantastic family dog – I would have no reservations about putting her with children or other dogs to live with – I loved her very much and somebody is going to be extremely lucky…. This dog has no issues, walks lovely on the lead – would be fine off the lead – everything is perfect about her as far as I am concerned…..

Suki – 5 year old female Akita

Meet our lovely Suki a 5 year old Akita bitch. Suki was brought in as a stray at a pound – there was no room after her 7 days and she was due to be put down as they could not find any rescue space for her – one of the ladies very kindly took her home until a space could be found as she as such a lovely dog…..

We heard about her plight and have offered to take her. They did find out where she came from – she was living with another dogs and children (unsure of age), we have no idea why they did not claim her – the lady who fostered her said she was a darling… She lived with her other dogs quite happily, she walks lovely on the lead, she knows how to sit and give a paw, she is also house trained… She is a very gentle dog and is fine at the kennels with the other dogs – she is very well behaved and stood like a little princess to have her pictures taken……

She can be homed with children but because we do not know the ages of the children she was living with it would have to be 10 plus… She could live with another dog – cats are unknown she has not been tested… Suki is quite a small dainty Akita…. She would be fine being left up to 4 hours….
