Through its network of animal adoption centres it rehomes thousands of animals each year. Its hospitals provide veterinary care for pets of people who cannot afford private vets' fees.
Diesel
Diesel is a 4 years old Lurcher, he is a very friendly dog. He is good with strangers both male and female.
He dislikes cats. Diesel came to us as a stray so we do not have any background information on him.

Ozzy is a 2 years and 2 months old medium sized cross breed. He is a friendly dog who is good with strangers but can be worried until he gets to know you. We are looking for a local home for Ozzy as he will need training and may need frequent visits to us for advice.
He will need someone who is home most of the time as he is not fully housetrained. He would be better in a home with another dog as he has lived with one in the past and responds well to them and it will give him more confidence. Ozzy will need to be in an adult only household. If someone can give Ozzy the time and training he will make a lovely pet.

Monty is a 6 years old cross breed, he is a very friendly and affectionate dog who is good with male and female strangers, he is also good with children of any age.
He dislikes cats and is ok with some dogs but would be better suited to being an only pet. Monty is a very active dog who loves to play with a ball.

Mostyn is a 4 years and 4 months old German Shepherd Cross. He is a very friendly and affectionate dog. He is good with strangers and likes other dogs and cats.
He is better with teenage children as small children tend to worry him a little. Mostyn loves his walks and company and he likes to play with teddies.

Alfie is your typical lively 1 year old Border Collie. He is good with strangers although can be wary at first. He is ok with big dogs and cats.
As he is a very active dog we are looking for an experienced collie owner who would like to work him or take him to agillity as he needs to be kept busy and entertained. He is an affectionate dog and he does not like to be left alone for long. He needs to be in an adult only household. He loves to play with soft toys and would need plenty of exercise.

Ruby is an energetic 8 month old Springer X Jack Russell terrier. She is a looking for an active home with owners who have lots of time for her. Ruby is a really clever little dog and works very well for toys and food – she has the potential to do well at obedience or agility.
Ruby does need people around most of the time at first, as she does not know how to cope when left alone at the moment.
Ruby could live with confident children no younger than 8 years old. She is social with other dogs, so could possibly live with the right dog.

This is Benji an active 7 1/2 year old English Springer Spaniel who is looking for a new home. Benji enjoys playing ball, and has a good retrieve, tennis balls being his favourite. He is also food motivated and has a good understanding of basic training. He knows sit, down and has a very good stay.
Benji is an energetic boy and doesn’t act his age! He is an affectionate dog in the home and is fully house trained.
Benji does not want to intereact with other dogs. He chooses to ignore them if he sees them when walking. Benji will need to be exercised in a fairly low dog populated area.
He can live with children 16 + and no other pets.

Kiki is a 1 year and 4 months old Collie cross looking for an experienced, active home. She came into the Blue Cross as her owner was having a baby and felt that Kiki deserved more time.
Kiki is a really bright, clever girl, with a good understanding of basic commands. She is very food motivated and is a quick learner. She is very active and enjoys walking accross the fields on a flexi lead and loves playing with her toys. Tennis balls being a favourite, she also enjoys a good tug of war.
Kiki does not get on well with other dogs, altough she can be distracted on to her toys. She will need a secure garden where she can play safely off lead. Kiki is housetrained, travel wells and is very affectionate with everyone she meets. She will not be rehomed with cats.
Kiki can be homed with confident children 12 years and over.

Winston is a delightful 3 month old Mastiff X. He is very bright and generally well behaved and is full of character.
Winston will be quite a large and powerful dog when fully grown, so will need an owner who will be responsible and take time to train him and socialise him properly while he is young. Winston is responding very well reward based training and has bags of potential.
