Des – 18 month old male Rottweiler

Des came to us as a very traumatized 7 month old puppy who had had three homes where he had been treated very badly. He is now 18 months old. We have all worked very hard with him and have now been rewarded with a delightful, happy, exuberant boy as can be seen by this beautiful picture of him running in the field. Like some males he can occasionally take a dislike to a stranger and we think that this is an association with his past but he just needs the right home where this could be worked on and understood. He would need experienced owners and teenage children only. He would get on with a bitch and he has been neutered. We feel that Des now deserves his chance of a new permanent home where this lovely boy could be happy and secure.

Alfie – 3 year old male Rottweiler

Alfie is a 3 year old castrated male who is a very handsome boy is the the original cuddle bunny . He is steady, fairly calm and very friendly. He is not an overly large male but is a really nice boy with no problems. He is fine with all the people he has met ,but like many rottie males he is not too keen on other males. As we have no history of him he could not live with children or cats, but older teenager children may be ok and possibly a bitch, but they would need to be introduced first. Alfie is lovely boy who is looking for his “forever” home and if given the chance he would make a lovely family dog.

Keira – 4 year old female Rottweiler

Keira is a lovely 4 year spayed bitch. Her world was turned upside down when first she had a road accident and unfortunately lost the sight of one eye and then her owner decided to take a job abroad and could not take her with him. She has been loved and cared for and is excellent on the lead, but now because of her restricted sight any new owner would need to be aware that when approached by other dogs on her blindside she can be startled and will sometimes “shout” at them.

Keira would have to live in a quiet home where she could regain her confidence. She would love to have a forever home where she could be secure and know that she was loved and once again be an important member of a loving family. It is recommended that she is homed in a quiet household where there are no children or other pets.

Blanche – 12-15 month old female American Bulldog

This is one of many sad stories out there we do not know the whole story we can only guess… This poor dog was dumped in the middle of the countryside she must be about 12 months old maybe a bit older – she was so terrified of people she lived wild for a while for how long we do not know – one of the farms she used to visit when no one was around but the farmer spotted her on a number of occassions she would come to find the other dogs and when she thought nobody was looking she would play and have fun with them but as soon as anyone appeared she would run for her life. This kind farmer put a blanket and food in a disused car and she slept there for a while – she gradually got more confident and started coming into the yard to find her friends and that is when he managed to catch her.. He called the local rescue this was back in March and she has been in kennels ever since. This little girl is so submissive and quiet – she has no aggression at all in her and once she knows you she is so gentle and loving – it breaks your heart – obviously being in kennels surrounded by loud barking dogs is not doing her any favours and probably makes her retreat even more into herself – the rescue have tried their best to find her a home but its a rottie rescue and have had no interest since March – so I am going to put her story all over the internet in the hope the right home will come along for this lass….

The right home is a quiet gentle home – no young children as it would too noisy and busy for her, plus no cats she has been cat tested and does not like them -er – another dog would be great but that dog has too be laid back and gentle or as an only dog.

Any home will be vetted to make sure its the right home for her we will also that you have a secure garden with 6 foot fencing.

Blanch will be spayed and vaccinated before she goes..

Mandy – 5 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Mandy is a quiet and sensitive 5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier girl who is looking for a loving new home. She would be even perfect for a first time dog owner she was owned by an elderly gentleman who adopted her from us a few years ago and he has very sadly just died – she is a very quiet little girl and quite timid – she loves people and will just follow you around everywhere to be close to you – she would only suit a quiet life.

She walks like a dream on lead and is just very lovely and has obviously been very loved she is very sensitive and quiet little girl for a Staffy, gentle and kind. She will walk by other dogs with no problems but would not be suitable to live with another dog. She travels very well in the car – She is being fostered in the Midlands. Any potential home will be vetted.
