Connie - 6 year old female Border Collie

Connie is a a gorgeous 6 year old Border Collie girl who was due to be put to sleep in a pound! She can be a bit grumbly with other dogs so would prefer to be an only dog, or may live happily with a very laid back, older male. She will chase cats and would probably prefer a home without young children. She is a wonderfully natured girl who adores attention! She will play fetch all day given the chance.

Milo - 10 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Milo is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross male aged approximately 10 months old, he is such a gorgeous boy and the photo really does him no justice! He is fantastic with other dogs - playful but not too bouncy. Good with cats as long as they don’t swipe him and he may chase them in they run, but a calm, confident cat would be fine.

waras_milo.jpg

Superb with children, initially bouncy he soon calms down, he loves playing with them! Milo was rescued from death row in a pound, he was due to be put to sleep. He has the most loving nature you could wish for. He walks well on a lead and within 2 minuites he will walk to heel on a loose lead!

He will also sit on command. We would like for Milo’s new home to further his training and continue to socialise him with other dogs - he SO deserves this second chance.

Sheba - 8 month old female Cross-Breed

Sheba is an 8 month old medium sized cross-breed, she is a stunning girl who will simply be her new owners pride and joy! Sheba is neutered and vaccinated. No-one is quite sure what her breed is - some say German Shepherd cross, some say Boxer cross Labrador, all we know is she is beautiful! She was rescued from a pound in Ireland and was very skinny, she is gaining weight nicely now and her character is shining through!

waras_sheba.jpg

Sheba is good with cats, dogs and children but will only be homed with older children. She was picked up as a stray so her history is unknown, but it is thought she may have been straying for a while. She took some time getting use to the collar and being walked on a lead but she is doing brilliantly now and we hope she will continue to shine!

We would like Sheba’s new owner to take Sheba to training classes to further her basic commands and socialisation with other dogs/people. She can be nervous of silly things at times - I have before had to carry her past a speed limit sign, but on the whole she is a sound girl who just needs some stability in a permanant home. I can’t reccomend her highly enough, she really is a wonderful lady!

Shiva - 5 year old female Beagle Cross

Meet Shiva, she is a Beagle cross aged 5 years 3 months. This adorable young lady is looking for a home through no fault of her own. The currently family just can’t give her the time, walks and attention she deserves. She has lived with children aged 3-14 and is very good with them, she is not use to small furries, lead walking or coming back when called when let off away from home.

waras_shiva.jpg

She does like to be top dog, otherwise she is superb with other dogs. She has a bottomless supply of love to give everyone and anyone that wants some. Well mannered, affectionate and willing to please, she could be lead trained within a week! Given persistance and consistant training.

She has lived alongside Suki her littermate all her life. But while Suki has adapted to and enjoys playing with the new Jack Russell puppy the family have bought, Shiver is understandably jealous. She is vaccinated, chipped and speyed. She suffered with a hip joint that kept popping out when she was a puppy but has had no problem with it since she was 18 months old.

Layla - 8-9 month old female Labrador cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Layla is a beautiful Labrador cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is only a baby at about 8-9 months old and unfortunately her family had to rehome her due to other commitments - a puppy was too much to take on. Although she is good with children she will only be homed with children old enough to cope with her bounce!

waras_layla.jpg

She is brilliant with other dogs and loves a good play, she would be happy on her own or with the company of a canine friend. She does not like being left for long periods and would very much like to have somone at home for most of the day while she is still a pup. She will sit and give her paw on command (most of the time) and we would like her new home to further her training and socialisation by taking her to training classes. She does want to chase cats but appears to be okay with cats that are slow moving.

Lotte - 3 year old female Jack Russell Terrier Cross

Lotte is an adorable 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier cross. All she is asking for is a lap to curl up on! She is a quiet little girl and enjoys the company of other dogs once she gets to know them. How she ended up in the pound I don’t know, she has obviously recently had puppies though. She cannot be homed with cats or other small animals (unless strictly supervised).

waras_lottie.jpg

She is superb with children of all ages, not snappy in the slightest, but we feel she would prefer a home with older or visiting children - enough to keep her fit but not pester her! Lotte is house-trained and walks well on a lead. She would really suit anyone, younger or older who is looking for a small, life-long companion

Sparrow - 1-2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

What a little darling Sparrow is! Sparrow is Jack Russell Terrier aged approximately 1-2 years old. Sparrow was abandoned at a vets and ended up as a stray, after doing his stray time (7 days) Sparrow’s owners had not come forward for him and time was starting to run short for the little guy, so we decided to offer him a lifeline!

waras_sparrow.jpg

He is absolutely fine with female dogs but scared of dominant males. He has not been tested with cats yet. He is good with children. Despite only having 3 legs, Sparrow whizzes round like he was born to run on 3 legs. He is also a bit of an escape artist! His new owners garden must be fenced to 5ft minimum and no gaps for him to squease through!

Trixie - 4 year old Terrier Cross

Trixie is a beautiful wire-haired Terrier cross aged approximately 4 years old, she was picked up as a stray and taken to the pound where she did her 7 days, unfortunately no one came forward for her and she faced being put to sleep, so we offered a rescue place for her.

waras_trixie.jpg

She is now safe and happy in foster home with other dogs, cats and children and is loving every minuite of the attention, she is lapping it up! Trixie will fit into most family situations, so long as there’s a nice warm, cosy spot on the sofa with her humans! She is good with other dogs and will play with them, but also likes to be able to retreat to her own space if she wants to.
