Avi is a 2 year old male Brittany Spaniel. Avi is a rescue from Cyprus who has flown to the UK to help him in his search for a home. He is currently living in our kennels in Atherstone, North Warwickshire whilst waiting for his forever family to find him. Avi is very people friendly and loves to be with you but he can be left for periods of time and settles well in a crate. Whilst we do not know exactly what breeds may be in his mix, from his appearance he does appear to perhaps have some Brittany Spaniel? He is generally fine with other dogs, if they are good with him. He was living with 7 dogs, he liked 5 and avoided 2 of them!
Avi does want to be the centre of the human’s world and can get upset if he thinks another dog is getting his share of the love! So he might prefer being an only dog and having his human all to himself. He is good, but sometimes strong on a lead. His recall from the garden is good, however he can be distracted and goes deaf if it’s very interesting! This would need work before he was trusted off lead outside the garden. He has lived in a house and was clean and slept downstairs through the night.
Avi cannot live with cats, chickens or other furries. Avi is a real ‘people’ dog and he got on well with his former foster mum’s 8 year old son, playing well with him. He has so much love to give his forever family. All he asks is a comfy bed, fun walks, playtime and the occasional cuddle. Ari would also love his new home to have an enclosed garden where he can play safely and relax.
