Bailey is a 6 year old Chocolate working Cocker who came into the rescue for snapping at his owners 2 year old child. He has been in foster since the end of Feb, Bailey is a beautiful boy who is smart and full of energy. He loves nothing better than a cuddle and lots of fuss. Bailey has separation problems and doesn’t like to be left so I would suggest a home with another playful dog to keep him company and also not to be left for long periods of time. Bailey is very loving and loves his walks. At the moment he is getting a hours walk in the morning and at tea time with lots of play throughout the day.
Bailey has a long list of things he doesn’t like all which I am working on with him, these include: Being left alone, cries when people leave but this is being improved as it is less frequent, he also can become distressed and begin howling and running around the house. To help this I have been leaving him alone little and often. Travelling, gets very distressed and needs a crate. To help this I have been taking him out in the car every other day. Vacuum Cleaner, does try to attack it. To help this I have had him sit and treated as I vacuum. Birds, will bark and try to attack birds in the back garden or in trees.
Bailey is crate trained and will sleep in his crate, however since coming into foster he has been more happier to stay out with my own dogs. He is a rather jumpy for the first few days but soon settles down, he is slowly learning that life isn’t all about him and he has to share everything. After about a week and half he stopped being my shadow and will let me out of his sight for 5 minutes without worrying. He has greeted everyone with a tail wag and is very loving with everyone, I would certainly re-home him with another dog and older children who will give him the attention he loves.
Bailey is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead. Adoption subject to meet and greet homecheck and adoption fee. Applications via forms section of website please.
