Meet Bandit a very handsome gentleman if we do say so! Bandit is a big strong boy who has a stunning white and blue coat and is 8 years young. He now deserves to find his loving forever home. Bandit is a really happy and sweet boy who is both confident and playful. He is in good health (did we mention playful?!) and ready to explore the World with his new family!
Bandit sadly hasn’t had the opportunity to live within a home environment yet but he is trying very hard to keep his kennel clean and is a clever boy so with gentle guidance and patience this shouldn’t be a problem. Bandit is good with other dogs but doesn’t like some dogs who are too much in his face so to speak and his body language will change if and when he feels threatened. He hasn’t met any tiny dogs yet as far as we know so care must be taken.
Bandit loves to be out and about but is a strong boy and doesn’t like to wear a harness so he is being walked using a gentle leader at the moment and its going really well as he wants to please and is a quick learner! In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.
We feel Bandit would best be suited to an family or couple who are happy to guide him with toilet training and on-going lead training. He really is such a lovely boy and would make a great new addition. Bandit may also be happy to be an only dog if someone was at home most of the time or equally as happy with another calm and gentle hound to show him the ropes. Please be aware that we do not re-home dogs to families with children under 8 years of age. Bandit is currently living in kennels in Norfolk. He can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a home checker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect him.
Bandit will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed and a home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
