Banjo is a 6 month old male Terrier. Banjo has come to us from a situation that was not suitable for him. He has lived with a large number of other dogs in a small home without access to a garden. He is completely terrified and will need to an experienced home to continue the work his fosters have started with him. He has never seen the outside, he knows nothing of a lead or collar. He is so scared that he will empty his bowels and bladder with total and utter abject fear. This little lad should be bouncing around without a care in the world. Instead he is a quivering mass of fear.
We are looking for a special home that understands his needs and know that he will progress when he is ready. Banjo will need the right home not the first home – please don’t be offended if you apply and are not suitable. This lad has been let down already, we have to get it right, we owe it to this lad to let him know life is okay and its for living.
Banjo will need to be re homed with at least one other resident dog and owners who are around for most of the day. He could be re homed with older teenagers possibly if they are experienced around dogs and understand his needs and fears. Banjo will be neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped prior to being re homed. He is currently in Foster in Croydon Surrey.
*Update September 2017*
Banjo has made significant progress, he is a sweet affectionate boy, who loves to sit on your lap and relax. He is very sociable with dogs of all sizes and must be re homed with at least one other dog. He is almost completely house trained, he rarely has any accidents now a vast difference to the terrified little chap who arrived a short while ago. Banjo sleeps in his crate at night with no problems, he is quiet and secure and happy to be crated.
Banjo has a very upbeat personality and loves to play ball, its amazing considering he didn’t know what a ball was when he arrived. He now walks on a lead, he is still nervous on his walks but is improving everyday. He is a lovely intelligent boy, who will make a great pet.
