Basil - 2 year old male German Spitz (Klein)

Basil is a 2 year old German Spitz (Klein) male who is looking for a new home because his owner found out she was pregnant. Sadly Basil never received the proper training and socialisation a young dog needs. Spoilt and treated like a baby he now lacks self-confidence and is nervous of strangers and other dogs to the point that he feels the need to growl and snap at those who try to approach him.

He will need a kind and confident experienced dog-owner to manage his behaviour in a consistent way. Although he will bark at visitors initially, he soon settles down. Basil is otherwise a very well-behaved dog. He is toilet-trained, knows the usual commands and can be left alone without problems. He is extremely affectionate towards people he knows. He loves sitting on laps and giving and receiving affection, he’s also a sucker for tummy rubs.

He is a very playful boy who will happily play with his soft teddies for hours on end. An adorable yet cheeky character, he can become protective of his owner, so he will need an all adult home without visiting children. Basil is looking is looking for a perfect new home, a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life.
