We would like to introduce Bella to you,a young 2-4 year old bitch, she is a lovely young German Shepherd cross (possibly Rottweiler). Bella is a lively girl with plenty of fun and energy which will thrive in a new home. Bella was picked up as a stray in the North West area then taken into Manchester Dogs home, unfortunately she was not re-claimed by her original owner so we were asked if we could step in and help or she could have been put to sleep. We brought Bella into our care end of September where she has under gone further assessments.
Bella would suit either being the only dog or maybe a large dog her size of bigger and slowly introduced to her, she reacts to dogs outside the home, so this does need to be worked on with socialising. She does seem to be a little too interested in cats so again we would suggest a cat free home for Bella. Bella and people she does so well, she has the loving funny silly side to her just as Rottie’s do, but the proud stance and determination of a shepherd, so certainly a very lovely girl which will thrive in a new home of her own. She will make many new fun memories for you if you were to adopt her.
Bella is full of energy as she is a young girl, she loves being off lead (we would suggest working on her recall before letting her off, we use a secure training field) she loves playing with her ball and her lead work is needing alittle work but this can be easily sorted out with plenty of patience and positive reward training. As Bella is a big girl and was a stray our policy would suggest children which are 9-12 years+ onwards also large dog savvy and respectable towards dogs, stray dogs do not come with any history so we have our blanket policy so children are safe and not put at risk.
Overall Bella is an amazing girl, and just needs a chance to prove she is as fantastic as we see her in the short amount of time she has been with us. Bella will need an experienced home, preferably someone with patience and experience of working with such a strong minded cross. Bella is not perfect and does have a couple of issues which need working on – these would be easy for the experienced owner which has the time to put into her training and working on socialising and responding in positive ways.
