Bella is a 7 year old female Shar-Pei. She is very good in the park and her recall is pretty good after the second time of calling! Typical of the breed. Wee bit stubborn. Just a little tardy. She has a good romp with willing dogs. Little dogs she completely overlooks. Like they are not there. She is okay with resident cat but will chase strange cat from garden. Very good condition of coat but is kept on grain free as any Sharpei owner will know. Same with ears. Needs clean once a week. So how had she got herself in this position? She growled and air snapped the 7 year old son. Not the 8 year old daughter. But he bent down to stroke and she snapped to miss.
Previously always okay with him. Her ears at this time were having a bit of flare up!? Who knows. She has never bitten. She could therefore feel the need to discipline a seven year old boy. It happens that they do think it’s their job sometimes. We can talk you through more of this as owner explained. We want to say that during an assessment she was fine with the more stressful circs she was in. We would like to say then, No children under 10 years.
A nice couple with Sharpeii experience preferred. She could live with a similar sized dog and enjoy a romp and chase. She doesn’t chew and is clean. She can be left for 4 hours okay. She is up to date at vets.
