Bella is an 8 year old female Cross-Breed. Bella is fostered in long Stratton (FR057). Bella is a large white mixed breed dog, perhaps with either some Labrador or white German Shepherd heritage. She is approximately eight years old and has recently come to the UK from Romania where she has spent four long years in the public shelter waiting for her happy ever after.
We have had the pleasure of fostering Bella and the transformation of her has been wonderful to be a part of. Initially she was a very timid and quiet girl, likely as she had likely never been in a home before, Bella is now blossoming into a kind, friendly and playful family pet. She has been clean in the house since she first arrived and is doing very well with learning to walk on the lead, although as this is still new to her, training will need to be continued.
Bella absolutely adores children, and has been very gentle and kind with my three and ten year old. She has met my cat once and showed no interest, so may be cat trainable so long as this process is closely supervised. Bella has been to the vets for a check up and has mild cataracts, which are not causing her any problems with finding her way around at the moment. I have several other dogs, and Bella has recently started playing with the younger ones which is wonderful to see. I think she would be happiest living with at least one other dog so that she can have a playmate and continue to grow in confidence. Bella loves human contact and actively seeks out affection from her foster family.
All in all Bella has been a complete joy to have in our home, and I am confident she will be a loyal and loving member of her new family.
