Bella – 8 year old female Yorkshire Terrier

Bella is a 8 year old female Yorkshire Terrier. This gorgeous tiny Yorkie girl is looking for a new home due to her owners illness. She is tiny, weighs in under 5kg. Bella has just had a birthday, she was born 29.5 10, though no.longer a pup she is still agile and is full of life. Belle is house trained and well behaved ondoors, though has clearly had the run of the house and allowed to sleep anywhere she chose. Sofas, laps and double beds seem to be her favourites. She travels very well in the car, even for long distances. Bella walks well on a lead ( she wears a harness). She is fine off lead meeti g people and dogs – but her recal is not quite up to scratch for her to be free in unenclosed areas. Its not that she disobeys, rather thsn she takes her time to finish whatever she is doing before coming to see why you want her.

Bella loves her walks and to run on freshly mown grass is her idea of heaven, closely follwed by racing through the tall course grass up and down the sand dunes. Even better if with other dogs. She has clashed previously, and only briefly, with another Yorkie bitch, so ideally we woukf like her to be homed with male dogs, all her interactions with both sexes whilst in our care have been kind and completely without tension or aggression.

Bella loves everybody she meets, adults and children. However due to her diminutive size, we will not consider applications from those with children under 12 years old. She has lived and slept, very happily with cats. But, like most dogs, she will fiercely chase strange cats from her property so a period of adjustment will be needed while she learns any cats in her new home are family. Seeing as all bar the youngest kittens will be bigger than her, it shouldn’t take long with dog savvy cats.
