Here in rescue we have a lovely little chap called Benjamin Tucker. This dear little soul is a Yorkshire Terrier, approximately between 6 and 8 years old. He was rescued from his resident home, in which he lived among 10 – 20 other dogs of similar type and breed. It is very possible that little Tucker had been used for his reproductive services, preferring female dogs to males. The living conditions were not of any standard, and it is unlikely that he lived a loving life.
Tucker is a very kind chap who adores being carried about, and thrives on companionship. When he first came into rescue he was very much bemused with his new surroundings, and found it difficult to adjust. Thankfully young Benji is a lot more comfortable, and slowly starting to enjoy his new journey of life. Unfortunately young Benji was very much unweight and undernourished. He weighed approximately just over 3 bags of sugar. He is not a very large Yorkshire, but about average size.
Tucker is very good with children, although he will benefit from a quieter home with an older person, or a couple. As he prefers to be carried, it is unlikely that he will walk/jog/run for miles. A little sniff n potter, and Tucker would be more than happy. He’s had a stressful life, and really needs to land on his feet. He deserves it. The males that we have in rescue have also met Tucker, and there has been no conflict. However, it’s preferred that he is placed as an only dog or calm female. At present Tucker has not been cat tested, but if required this can be carried out as necessary.
Tucker has had in rescue: A full dental, anal gland treatment, a vaccination, micro chip, health check, neutering operation, nail clipping, scissor clip, with worm and flea treatment.
