Benji is a fabulous little dog-a typical Jack Russell Terrier, full of fun and character! Benji loves to catch up with his fostermum and have lots of fuss-especially for half an hour after breakfast. He loves having his chest and tummy rubbed and is always asking to be stroked. He understands sit, lie down, roll over and give your paw. He also knows speak and spin around then he gets very excited! Benji loves children as well as adults because of course they have more time to play with him and give him love!
Benji loves his walks-he is walked on a Gentle Leader and will walk to heel. He is walked on a long line in the fields though as he usually has good recall but as a typical Terrier his nose can distract him! On a lead Benji gets a little wound up by other dogs-he’s better with dogs the same size or smaller than himself, he’s friends with 2 other Jack Russell’s with no problems and will share treats with them. Benji has lived with cats before but must have careful introductions and only cats that are dog savvy! Benji loves to be close to you as he loves attention. He has been left for up to 4 hours and settles well. He loves his squeaky and stuffed toys and plays tug and adores his tennis balls. He will go through his repertoire of dancing and spinning for you to keep you amused but it’s fuss and catches he really loves. He’s not destructive and he is housetrained.
Benji loves his walks and running for him is wonderful and lets off a lot of terrier energy! He enjoys playing with his tennis ball and luckily doesn’t try to scale the garden fences. Benji needs an active home with plenty of exercise and stimulation to occupy his terrier mind. He will amuse you and make you laugh and then want loads of fuss because you’re so proud of him. Benji has had some changes in his life- he needs a terrier savvy secure home with bucketfuls of love, time and patience-and a sense of humour!
Benji is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Worcestershire.
