Beautiful Benny (dog on left of photo) came to us recently with his Brother of the same age Frankie. Sadly their owner had a change in circumstances and as they were local we stepped in. Although the boys have always been together we have made the decision to rehome them separately HOWEVER they must go to homes with other dogs in them already preferably a confident older bitch to help them learn confidence and some manners.
Sadly both the boys have been so wrapped up in each other that they have failed to socialize and integrate out and about with other dogs. Due to this they can be a little reactive on the lead and can get vocal when together with other dogs. Apart they are much better which is why we feel a non-reactive confident bitch to accompany them out and about would be best. New owners though do need to be prepared to have some lead work to undertake and would be best if willing to commit to taking Benny to socialization classes to help him come forward.
Benny is house trained, good to be left for short periods of time and is good with children. He would be best suited to a home with older dog savvy children 6 plus. Benny is NOT cat friendly and when off lead is a typical whippet cross bedlington and will chase rabbits, cats, birds etc.
Benny definitely needs a firm but fair home with lots of time and patience to allow him to morph into the wonderful hound he is capable of being.
Benny is currently located in the kennels in Stoke on Trent and is vaccinated, microchipped, de flead, de wormed and neutered.
