Bernard – 2 1/2 year old male German Shepherd Dog cross Rottweiler

Bernard is a German shepherd cross Rottweiler aged approximately two and a half years. Bernard has been at Raystede looking for a home before when he was picked up as a stray and never claimed; sadly Bernard was homed and then returned to us following the loss of his owners job. During the time in this home Bernard was trained as a security dog and as such is looking for a similar home to go back into. He is affectionate, bright and very responsive, he loves companionship and interaction, is very keen to learn and has shown that as well as working he would be able to live as a pet in a home when he is off duty.

Bernard needs an experienced home where his handler is competent and experienced with dogs and also able to manage a large, strong breed, he could possibly share a home with the right dog but definitely not with cats and any resident or visiting children would need to be teenagers upwards and should also comfortable around large dogs.
