Billy – 7 year old male Pug

Billy is an adorable 7 year old Pug who has come into us as his old mummy left him behind when she moved on with her husband. Billy was then having to live with Dogue de Bordeaux’s and other large breed dogs which were picking on him and making his life a misery. He was then having to spend more and more time isolated away from the other dogs so the decision was made to hand him to us so he can find that special lap all of his own.

He is getting on great with all the dogs here, but has shown a very keen interest in the cats, but as our cats are very dog savvy they did not run, but if a cat was nervous and ran I feel he would chase. He is clean in the house and slept without a sound in the kitchen with the others.

He loves his food and everyone elses – he’s a wonderful little Dyson, even though he has a wry (undershot jaw) mouth and his tongue dangles out permanantly to one side he manages perfectly. A pug savvy person would suit him as he is prone to getting overweight and also requires the folds in his face to be kept clean.

He also dishes his front legs when walking (I have discussed this with his old owner and he said that he has been like that since he was bought as a puppy) which causes him to scrap his knuckles occasionally, so the ideal home for him would be somewhere that would not involve a lot of road/pavement work to get to fields. This does not slow him up in any way though, he can still run around like the others.

Billy lives with his foster family in Kent.
