Billy – 9 month old male Beagle

Billy is a male Beagle, he is 9 months old (as of March 2013) and is good with children, other dogs and cats. He has had some of his basic training already as he is used to walking on the lead and he does a nice sit! He can pull on the lead at times when he is excited but with regular exercise this should reduce. He is house-trained and asks to go out to toilet. Billy is a happy little fella, he may not have had the best start in life but he is a calm and nice boy. He likes a cuddle and fuss. He is gentle with food and treats. He is still a pup and would love a family who he can grow up with.

 

Billy was recently returned to rescue as he was having problems being left alone in the home. He needs someone who is able to gradually introduce him being left alone over a period of time so he will become used to it, and not become anxious and destructive. We can discuss this in more detail and give you advice.

Please note, we operate a policy of NOT re-homing same sex dogs together, e.g. existing dog male then we would not allow another male dog to be re-homed with you. Same for females.

RSPCA Essex South West

The RSPCA Essex South West Branch is, like all RSPCA branches, an independent charitable trust. As such, it has to be financially self-supporting – in other words it has to raise the funds it needs to support its animal welfare activities. The Branch covers an area ranging from Dagenham & Barking in the South to Epping & Nazeing in the North, Waltham Abbey to the West and Abridge to the East. Although we do rehome our dogs to all other areas. The Branch is run and staffed entirely by volunteers. The main activity of the Branch is in rescuing and finding new homes for companion animals that for a variety of reasons are either homeless or cannot stay with their present owner. We work in partnership with Hillside Kennels telephone 01992 892881, who board our rescue dogs and carry out the rehoming process on our behalf. All dogs who are rehomed from us will have their initial course of vaccinations, worm and flea treatments and will be neutered. In the last eight years (to December 2011) the RSPCA ESSEX SOUTH WEST Branch has rehomed approximately 2100 cats and 1560 dogs.
