Bista – 4 year old male Lurcher

This is the beautiful Bitsa who is a lurcher boy around 4 years of age. We do have some history on Bitsa and believe him to have been sold on by his old owner who has cared for him since a pup due to a change in his circumstances. Sadly just over a month ago Bitsa was found straying and was handed to a local police station and nobody has tried to reclaim him. Bitsa is a stunning looking hound and only small at around 23 inches. He has though been a working dog and can spot a rabbit at a half a mile radius as our kennel volunteer walkers found out! He is also NOT cat friendly. So far Bitsa has been great with all of the other dogs at the kennels and fabulous with the adults and humans he has met. He walks well on the lead unless he sees something to chase, then does need correcting as he can attempt to have a good old pull.

Bitsa is a relatively quiet boy but we do feel he would best suit a home with either someone around all of the time or with an older female dog already in residence and would be best suited to a home with older dog savvy children 6 plus. Although Bitsa has been an outside dog he keeps his kennel extremely clean to the best of his abilities and we do not feel that housetraining will be an issue. Sadly Bitsa is not the best traveller and this does need taking into consideration for anyone rehoming him, he gets extremely car sick and quickly. We do feel though that with lots of very small car journeys for a matter of minutes and extra work to settle him during journeys this is something that a family would be able to work through and in the long term help to cure him of. We of course would be happy to offer assistance and advice with this along the way. However, due to this needing working with we do not feel that he is best dog for a family who have their own caravan etc and like to engage regularly in long distance holidays and lots of long distance driving around.

Bitsa is a total sweetheart, calm and quite loving and does have a good level of obedience already. Bitsa is vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped and will shortly be neutered before being rehomed.
