Blas is a 9 months old Podenco cross. He arrived from Spain on 4th September and is being fostered by Auntie Vicki in Kent and is available to adopt, so if you are interested in this little treasure please apply now! He is 9 months old and his approximate date of birth is December 2015. At the end of February two puppies were found tied to the fence of the refuge in Spain. They were found on a Sunday when the Spanish were celebrating ‘Blas Infante’ – and were therefore named appropriately Blas & Infante.
Blas is a gorgeous little puppy in need of a loving forever home. A Podenco is similar to a whippet and is a sight hound, so the adopter must understand his breed traits. They are a beautiful breed, it isn’t known what Blas is crossed with but he will not grow much more and he’s currently Whippet sized. He is a shy but friendly boy who adores other dogs and would do well with at least one other resident dog in the household. Due to his breed, we would recommend not rehoming him with cats (though he can be cat tested if required). His shy nature would suit older children, around 9+. He will need quick spurts of exercise where he can run like an Olimpic gold medalist, and then relax in a nice comfy bed! He is neutered and has a passport, microchip, and all vaccinations including rabies and the 4D snap tests for European diseases.
