Blaze – 6 year old female English Cocker Spaniel

Blaze is a 6 year old English Cocker Spaniel. Blaze is a beautiful girl who really enjoys company and a good cuddle on the sofa. She has been left for a few hours at a time and has been well behaved in the house, with the exception of having a chew on the post now and again!

Blaze only has three legs having lost a rear one in an accident. She doesn’t let this affect her in any way, she still very much loves going for walks and running in the park with our children. Recall wise she needs a little bit more training on, I don’t think she would leave you but doesn’t always respond when called, We haven’t been able to work on this as much as we would have liked due to her being on restricted lead walks post spaying. She is a good girl on the lead but will spin occasionally.

Blaze can be a little nervous and will bark at people coming into the house or sometimes if approached on a walk, visitors giving her time and ham has meant she soon comes round and enjoys a fuss and cuddle. There is no aggression in this, just a little wariness. We have started work on a leave command and this training will need carrying on in her next home and maybe some continued socialising would benefit her. She has sniffed and said hello to dogs while on walks, the occasional one she will bark at. I would say she would be happy with another dog or with as a solo pet. She has been gentle with both our children and can regularly be found cuddle up to them both. Not cat tested.

All in all she is a cracking dog with a lot of love and joy to give. Blaze is in foster in Hampshire and she is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead. Adoption subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £250. Applications via the forms section of website please.
