Blossom – 3 year old female West Highland Terrier

Blossom is a 3 year old female West Highland Terrier and has had mange and, presumably, the skin problems that many Westies suffer from but as you can see below looks much better now after treatment. She is fabulous fun and a wonderful character. We have no history for Blossom, but we believe she has been a pet and lived in a house before as she shows no surprise to all the trappings of the modern home and is completely comfortable indoors.

Blossom seems house trained, travels really well in the car and walks well on and off the lead. Sadly, her skin has been damaged by the mange she had and she does still have a few areas where the hair doesn’t grow or snaps off at a few milimetres long. Unfortunately, these areas may always be relatively hairless and may be prone to irritation as there is little or no protection to the skin. We find careful feeding, washing and drying her legs when they get muddy, or after walks, seems to do the trick most of the time.

Blossom loves everyone and is fabulous with other dogs, though very full on with her enthusiasm to meet new friends.
