Blue - 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Meet Blue, a 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Blue came from the RSPCA Wirral & Chester Branch as a case dog,he wasn’t coping well in kennels so we offered a fostering space where he’s been for a few months and now he’s with our branch for rehoming. He has been neutered, wormed/flead and vaccinated, he’s yet to be micro-chipped.

Blue came into RSPCA care originally as he had a broken back leg that was not treated. This has now healed after months of rehabilitation but is still building up strength. Because of this, Blue will need short bouts of exercise, no more than 30 minutes several times a day, as if he does too much on it at one time, it becomes a little painful for him and he limps, regular walks is a must to continue to build muscle.

The fosterer tells us he is a lovely dog who likes lots of fuss. He is quite excitable around other dogs but not aggressive and is okay with cats when out and about. He is a clever dog who his fosterer finds quick to learn, having now picked up the sit, stay, down, leave, wait, fetch, off and out/in commands. Blue is very toy orientated and loves to play games and chase balls. He still needs a little more training on the recall as he comes back most of the time,  unless there is something more interesting about!

Blue is very clean in the house and okay to be left up to 4 hours with chews and toys to keep him amused. He would be best suited to an energetic home, with no other dogs or young children. His fosterer speaks very highly of Blue, she says he’s the most softest and loving dog with a wonderful temperament and incredibly handsome!
