Bobby is a 5 year old female Labrador. This lovely girl has recently come into our care having been used as a breeding dog in her past. So big changes for this lovely dog from kennel life to living in a family home with children (teenagers) and just one other dog. When she first arrived Bobby was terrified she was looking for escape routes out of the house and garden she did not feel safe at all, but even being this scared by everything that was new to her what was always apparent was her lovely nature she so wanted to be loved and feel safe but was all very overwhelming.
As the days went forward Bobby learnt to relax and learnt what family life was about, she has formed a strong bond with the teenage boy in the house and her tail and bottom nearly wag off when she see’s him her foster mummy said. She has also learnt about toys and balls and loves walking around with a ball in her mouth as you can see from the video below. She is settled at night now and more or less got the hang of house training. She is fine with the other dog and relaxed around him now but was very nervous of him to begin with. Hope you enjoy the videos below, please note Bobby is the smaller Labrador without a tail (due to her being born with it damaged and it having to be removed) as just to confuse matter the other Labrador is called Bobby to.
Bobby is a lovely girl with a beautiful nature, she is kind dog, but still unsure we would like her to go to an experienced home with people who have experience of helping a dog get her confidence, a quiet home would suit her best, another dog would be good but would have to be a gentle not in your face dog like her who would maybe ignore her to begin with while she finds her feet and confidence in her new surroundings.
A country home also rather than a busy town or city would suit her best. No full time workers. She is adapting well living in a family home with two teenagers and the change in her since she came to us is amazing and this will continue. Bobby will be spayed, fully vaccinated, chipped, wormed and fleaed before she leaves us, she has been checked over by our vet and has had a clean bill of health.
Please note she does not have a tail this is due to her being born with it damaged and it having to be removed.
