Boris – 4-5 year old male Lurcher

Boris is a 4-5 year old broken coated Lurcher lad, he’s such a clown! Boris is not only handsome but such a sweet and comical little dog who has us all laughing away at his antics. Boris landed into our care having been found as an unclaimed stray. He was extremely thin and confused and shut down but now the cheeky Lurcher character is coming out! If there is mischief to be had you can guarantee Boris will find it! He is always up to something he shouldn’t and his nose is everywhere. That said it makes for amusing times and its never anything malicious. Boris has been fabulous with all the dogs he has met at the kennels and wonderful with all humans alike, he loves every walker equally and everyone is Boris’ best friend! This boy is a huge smiler and is always grinning away. Boris has been great in his kennel and works hard to keep it clean, walks well on lead and travels like a dream.

Boris we feel could learn to be an only dog if someone was around in the main to settle him in and help us work towards him being happy and independent with guidance. Likewise we feel he would be happy living with other dogs but is NOT cat friendly. With time and patience and a bit of training someone is going to have a lovely new family member. As Boris is quite big and silly we feel dog savy children 6 upwards would be best, younger children may get bumped around.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
