Brandy

Meet Brandy he is a 5 1/2 year old castrated male Collie cross that was brought to us in July 2006, after two years as he didn’t get on with the other pets in the house. Brandy is a nervous dog who is distrusting of strangers in particular men. However, once he has befriended you he can be a sweet and affectionate dog.

Typical Collie, Brandy is extremely active and therefore will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation as he becomes bored easily. He loves to play and goes mad for water, loving hosepipes and paddling pools - proving to be a real water baby! Brandy is quiet and calm when left and not destructive loving to curl up on the sofa for a well earned sleep.

Brilliant in the car as well as in a home environment he just loves to sleep the afternoon away. He loves going for walks but initially pulls on the lead and will bark at strangers if they invade his personal space so would benefit from further lead training and socialisation. He knows some of his basic commands but can be stubborn when asked to perform them and has a short attention span, therefore further training would be beneficial.

He is rather an escape artist so needs a secure garden as he can easily jump over a five foot fence. Brandy is good with other dogs loving their company but needs an experienced owner without any small animals or cats but would be fine with children aged 16+. Can you offer our water baby a new loving home?
