Bridie – 12 month old female German Shepherd cross Spanish Mastin

Bridie is a young German Shepherd cross Spanish Mastin female aged around 12 months. She was emaciated when she was rescued but has put on a lot of weight since then with her foster Mum. She will fill out some more but she is not a heavy built girl. Bridie is still very young, barely out of puppyhood and gets along very well with all other dogs, both male and female. She is wonderful with people, and would be suitable in a home with children of any age.

As a young dog she is very amenable to learning new things and we think she would be fine to live with a cat and even small furries after careful introductions. Bridie likes her walks and play time but she is not a high energy dog and is not overly excitable despite being so young.

Bridie is house trained and can be left for a few hours without any problems. She is not a noisy girl and is not destructive because she is old enough to be out of the chewing stage. Bridie needs a kind and patient owner who will help her to continue gaining confidence because she has had a truly dreadful start to her life. She would benefit from being with people who can give her the love, attention and care that she has missed out on in her early life.

FOSTERER’S REPORT: Bridie is brilliant indoors, she makes no mess and is a good eater. She is a bit nervous of men and a little timid still, but is slowly coming out of her shell. I think she would be better in a home with another dog because she seems to like having another dog to show her the way. She is good out walking and can be let off lead with supervision. She eats well and is a lovely gentle girl who deserves to find herself a wonderful home. She likes sleeping on the bed! No known health issues. Bridie is microchipped, fully vaccinated, up to date with flea and worm treatments and has a full passport.

Angel’s Kiss only uses kennels for immediate rescue and emergencies, all dogs advertised for adoption have been fostered, so they can become familiar with the normal sights and sounds in a family and a household. It is with fosterers that these troubled souls learn what it is like to live in a home, sleep on a bed, eat a decent meal and know what it is to be loved. Fostering is the bridge from the old life to the new. Bridie is in a foster home in Burton on Trent. Angel’s Kiss homes dogs throughout the UK but potential adopters must be willing to travel to meet Bridie at her foster home.

If you are interested in adopting please get in touch with us through this website. The adoption fee is £250 and we always require a homecheck. This is done through a national network of rescue volunteers and usually does not take more than a few days to arrange.
