Broxy

Broxy is a 6 month old male Australian Kelpie cross Huntaway (also known as a New Zealand Sheepdog), he is a slightly out of control puppy who has come in just in time! Broxy has proved to be too much for his owners, who have now also returned to full-time work, rendering the situation even worse. Broxy’s owners have tried to rehome him but it did not work out.

It turns out that Broxy is part of the same litter as those brought in previously (Gypsy, Herschey and Kim). Broxy is very waggy and friendly to all comers, though his owners say he has some issues around food and can be punchy with other dogs. At the time of admission, we were told that Broxi was not house-trained – however the owner has since emailed us to say that in fact he is? He’s also good with children.

He is puppy-destructive – with some Kelpie blood in him this will be even more pronounced as they are a very active breed who need lots of exercise and mental stimulation too. He has obviously got a little out of hand but thankfully at six months it is not too late to set him on the right path with a little guidance. There is a cracking dog just waiting to be brought out!
