Buddy is a 18 month old male English Cocker Spaniel. Buddy arrived at the farm, as Buddy ruled the world and the world was his oyster. Oh dear poor boy his world came crumbling down when he met the others, at the farm who are used to wannabes! He was soon to learn that food bowls are to be shared and he could share his toys. He also learnt that when you decide to try and growl at your foster mum you get sat on by, Nanny McPhee the resident German Shepherd Dog who is in charge! Buddy also thought he was a womble collecting rubbish as this would give him an excuse to guard and become possessive of a wrapper. That game was short lived as I just let him have it and he soon stopped collecting it, as it became boring.
This little boy adores cuddles and love and has started to realise he must have boundaries and follow instructions. Now please don’t misunderstand Buddy is not “cured” he never will be, although when boundaries are in place he is a delight. Fantastic recall he is never far from you, he is learning that mud doesn’t actually kill you and can be fun. He is interacting and reading the other dogs body language so much better now.
So buddy’s new home: He can live without other dogs or with as long as there is a dominant leader to keep Buddy in line. He needs an owner that will stick with the boundaries and not let Buddy be in charge. He has been called Borris here as he reminds me of a certain politician with the same hair colour that is also full of words and attitude although never follows through with any action. He is fine to be left for up to 4 hours, when he first arrived he would cry for 5 minutes although I feel this was a change of environment and is quiet now. House trained, doesn’t chew, no toys indoors and no children due to his guarding history, travels very well and walks on the lead nicely.
Buddy is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation. Applications via forms section of website please
