Buddy is a 2 year old male Miniature Pinscher cross Terrier. Buddy is a rescue from Cyprus who has flown to an amazing foster home in Stockport to help him in his search for his forever family. Here is a little about him. Buddy is a happy, fun loving, playful boy who cannot believe how lucky he is to find himself in a foster home, enjoying comfort, company, walks and regular meals. Whilst we don’t know exactly what breeds may be in his mix, from his small build we suspect some Miniature Pinscher and some Terrier too. Buddy enjoys the company of other dogs and is currently living with two canine friends. He likes chewing bones and chasing toys. He also loves his food though he is a bit protective of it with the other dogs but is absolutely fine with humans. Buddy loves his walks and walks well on a lead. However, he can react when passing sheep and cows and some other dogs that he doesn’t know but once he knows them he is okay. His foster mum has been using treat distractions to stop him reacting and that’s been working.
Buddy loves people, and is very happy to give his human lots of kisses and cuddles. He is still a young boy and can jump up so some care might be needed if there were young children in his new home. Buddy hasn’t really met cats so we don’t know how he will behave with them. Buddy is housetrained and has access to a crate when left alone. He is happy to sleep in the crate but has never been shut in one. At night Buddy likes to sleep in the same room as his human, to know they are near. Buddy creates a strong bond with his human, and does cry when you go into another room, however he is fine when left alone in the house and happily sleeps.
Buddy is dreaming of his very own loving home, where he can enjoy lovely walks, special treats and receive lots of love. He does need some ongoing training and someone to show him that life isn’t as scary as he thinks. This would benefit Buddy and his owner and help Buddy develop into the dog you want him to be. He is truly a gorgeous boy who so deserves so much more than his life has given him so far. He just needs a chance to show you how much he will just adore you. He has, with the support and guidance of his new forever human(s), the potential to become an amazing, fun, family pet.
