Buster – 8 month old male Labrador Cross

Buster is an 8 month old brown/black male Labrador cross who hasn’t had a good start in life, coming from a home where he was tied to radiators most of the time and kicked. Whilst the Inspector was investigating the owners passed Buster to somone else who then passed him onto someone else, who then contacted the same Inspector, luckily this was someone the Inspector knows.

Buster has had his 1st vaccination, wormed, deflead and health checked. He is neutered and micro-chipped.  Buster has a lovely temperament, he’s very friendly, he’s medium to large in size and very stocky, he’s absolutely stunning. He’s been around dogs in the last couple of homes and has been fine, cats are an unknown. He has lived with an 11 year old child.

We will learn more about Buster but we’re looking for a home where the new owners are experienced with dogs, he can be rehomed with older children, he’s too big and bouncy to be around toddlers. He could possibly live with another dog depending on temperament as he may mither a lot to play!

He’s not had much socialisation in his young life but will make a wonderful companion, he will benefit from continued socialisation with dogs and people, perhaps even social training classes, he will definately need plenty of exercise. Buster is a typical young dog needing a stable and loving home.

Buster is a very playful boy, he likes toys and will happily interact with you, you can take them away from him and he will sit too (most of the time!). I gave him a roasted bone and he loved it, again I could take it away from him and ask him to sit and he will. Whether it’s the new environment or how he’s been kept and treated he does get easily spooked and is jumpy.

He’s very good on the lead although does pull a bit. He’s nervous of the dogs as they are so loud, he’s a big baby, he even got spooked by a chicken so much so that he tried to escape his collar! He will need slow introductions to the big wide world but he’s got such a beautiful nature and just needs some confidence, someone to nuture him and show him that life is good, that there is nothing to be afraid of anymore.
