Buster is a 15 year old male Cross-Breed. Poor Buster was originally rehomed from us back in 2005 but has sadly found himself back in our care at the grand old age of 15 as his owner has sadly moved into a hospice. When Buster first came to us he was called Freeway after he was found running on the motorway! Buster is a lovely boy, he is understandably quite upset at the moment as his whole world has been turned upside down. He is currently living on our staff room and enjoys company throughout the day. He can be a little nervous of men to begin with but it doesn’t take him long to make new friends.
Despite his age Buster is still an active boy who enjoys his walks. When he sees his lead he leaps around with excitement! We are still getting to know Buster here but have so far found him to be no trouble. He is a typical senior citizen who likes to spend the day snoozing. We were told that Buster is good with other dogs but are yet to mix him with dogs here. We hope to update this as soon as we know more. We are unsure how he is with cats.
Buster does have some warts that will need to be removed in the future. If rehomed locally this is something that can be done here at the rescue. He also has a bit of a weepy eye at the moment but we are sure this will clear up in no time once he has finished his course of eye drops. He has recently had blood tests done which have come back all clear and therefore indicate that he is in good health for his age.
We would desperately like to see Buster settled in a loving and secure retirement home soon. A rescue centre is no place for an old dog. Buster would enjoy a quiet home where he has company throughout the day. He would be best suited to an adult only home. He will make a fantastic companion.
