Buster is a 13 year old Patterdale Terrier cross Jack Russell and Ziggy is an 11 year old Miniature Poodle who are in foster in Newark, Nottinghamshire, waiting for someone to offer them a permanent home together.
They are both fine with dogs. Buster is very tolerant with them, but you need to make sure he doesn’t get pushed out as Ziggy will try to hog all the attention. Ziggy likes to be boss, not in an aggressive way but in a Poodly way!
Their previous owner said they will chase cats outdoors unless the cat stands it ground, but they haven’t met any since coming into foster. They’ve shown no sign of chasing other animals they’ve met or seen, for example horses and sheep.
The boys lived with children of all ages at their previous home. They should be fine to live with children aged about 5 years and above.
Buster’s favourite pastimes include – Fooood!, walkies, tennis balls, being scratched behind his ears, and tummy tickles. “Boo” also loves the hair dryer and being brushed.
Ziggy’s favourite pastimes include – Cuddles, walkies, playing with toys, cuddles, food and another cuddle please!
These boys need a home with someone around for most of the time as they do hate being left, otherwise they should fit in quite happily anywhere.
Buster and Ziggy are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and have been wormed and flea treated. They have recently had dentals and so have lovely clean teeth. Buster is a little deaf and Ziggy can’t see much but between them they’re fine! Ziggy needs to have his ears cleaned regularly – about once a fortnight. Oh and Buster hates the vets!
