Calpurnia – 18 month old female Border Collie

Calpurnia is an 18 month old female Border Collie. She has been in a home for a short while and has done very well. She has only been returned due to a sudden and unexpected change in work hours. She was much loved by the whole family and they were very sad to have to return her. She lived with a Jack Russell bitch and they got on well.

Calpurnia has recently been diagnosed with PRA and is now partially sighted. She will likely lose all of her sight over time. There are no other health issues related to the PRA and there is no treatment. She actually manages well and it is only noticeable currently in poorly lit areas. She has quite good vision still in good light. She will need a quiet home with maybe just one or two gentle dogs. She could possibly live as an only dog if you were around a lot. She has become an expert at using her nose! She i vaccinated, wormed, spayed, micro chipped and vet checked.
