Capriona is a lovely 13 year old Collie girl who is in an Oldies Club foster home in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, waiting for someone to offer her a permanent home. Capriona is a sweet and pretty girl who would love a home where she will get lots of fuss and cuddles. She was very overweight when she came to us but is losing the excess steadily and is much livelier and more playful. Capriona is good with cats and children and OK with most dogs. She has on-lead walks as she is deaf, but she loves to go out for a good sniff and nosy around.
Capriona has lived with another dog previously and is OK with most dogs. She might be able to live with another dog but it would depend on how they got on when they met. Capriona is absolutely fine with cats. She is living with a cat now and she just ignores it. Capriona is wonderful with people, including children. She could live with children aged over 5 who understand that Capriona is an older lady and needs to be respected as such. Capriona is very good on walks. She is lead walked and doesn’t pull. Her recall probably isn’t that good as she is deaf, but she doesn’t move that fast anyway! She likes a good sniff and to see what’s going on.
Capriona is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. She seems to be deaf. She arrived very overweight and has been on a strict diet – she has lost 8kg so far. She occasionally had some difficulty moving or getting up, but this has definitely improved with the weight loss. She may need arthritis medication in the future but at the moment the vet advised waiting to see how the continuing weight loss helps.
