Captain – 5 year old male Greyhound

Meet the beautiful Captain, he is a 5 yer old Greyhound who came to us a couple of months ago in a poor condition with a serious shoulder injury which ended his racing career. After being transferred to a specialist he has undergone surgery that was succesful and has now fully recovered. Captain is the smaller dog on the left and as far as male Greyhounds go really is a little boy.

Captain is a beautiful boy who would suit a sighthound experienced owner and would need to remain leashed and muzzled on walks. Although he walks nicely and is fine passing dogs in the street and passing dogs running off leash he does react if they run into or at him and will lunge in. This could easily be overcome with socialisation classes as he hasn’t been socialised at all. He is quite playful and busy for a Greyhound and would love a home with a Greyhound female as a companion. He is currently in foster care with a female Greyhound and old male Whippet both of whom he gets on well with.

Captain is a sweet natured cheeky and very loving boy and will make a fabulous addition to any home. He loves to play with toys and will happily play alone if the other dogs don’t want to join in. He is fully house-trained and fine to be left as long as he has company. He is great with children and adores all people that he meets. Captain is deflead, dewormed, vaccinated, KC vaccinated micro-chipped and neutered.
