Caramelo is an adorable 11 week old little tan and white Boxer cross flecked puppy boy weighing 4.5 kg (10 lbs) at the moment, we think he will probably grow to be about 20 kg (44 lbs).
Caramelo is a calm puppy who loves playing but also taking naps on your lap or as close to you as possible. He is a very good and a bright puppy, he’s already learnt that he can only pee in a specific corner (his house training is progressing very well).
Little Caramelo will need to have a calm life with moderate exercise because he has an aortic stenosis, a category 5 murmur and a cardiomegaly. At the moment he’s controlled with a tablet every 12 hours. He can only do moderate exercise. He will need periodic reviews at the vet.
Please don’t let his health put you off adopting him – he is very sweet and can live a long an healthy life as long as he enjoys life at a slower pace.
His mom was found in Spain completely malnourished with her six newborn puppies. They had been left behind to starve when their owner moved away. The little family were rescued and fostered, all the puppies have been adopted except for Caramelo and his brother, Brownie.
His foster carer says: Caramelo means sweetie in Spanish and I couldn’t have chosen a better name! He’s a lovely puppy, the calmest in his litter, who just wants to cuddle and explore the world.
He has been vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, spayed and microchipped. He also has a Pet Passport.
